- The FIDE World Championships 2024 reached a very interesting stage when the players entered the penultimate round with a joint score of 6-6. Gukesh had the white pieces in this one and would surely want to push. Ding Liren was surely going to be put through a tough time here. Check out the battle between these two amazing players in the Ambit Recap of the day along with the commentary by IM Sagar Shah.

I wanted Gukesh to win the candidate with all my heart, I even prayed. But my gut just like last time tells me, he’s not going to be the next world chess champion. Great run from the 18 yrs old though.
But he'll not win.
Anyway, an 18 yr old put world champion ran for his money for sure.!😂
A superb WCC match is on us and you post about your gut.
Gukesh lacked world championship experience as shown with his blundering of advantages in multiple games, that proved he is not ready to be the world champion but it is not surprising because Gukesh is only 18 years old. Ding showed why he is the world champion knowing exactly when to defend and attack, he knows there's a tiebreak if scores are levelled so there isn't any reason to take unnecessary risks.
@@contrarian2496 But most of the matches Gukesh was in the driving seat and he was controlling the course of the games. Apart from 1st and 11the game Ding was just busy defending..Till last round the scores are the same from
19:50 oh No Eric at the back🙂
I love Sagar!! Makes the games even more interesting. GM severed, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.☕🤔
Ding played amazing game, he proved everyone wrong. Now everyone is saying ding will win, just hope guki will prove everyone wrong play like beast and win the title. Praying for his victory 🙏
Seems like Gukesh had more chances in this match with better positions or more clock time, but squandered them.
Damn!! Ding's Defense 💀💀💀
Ding played well, but who know anything can happend in the last game
My faith in Gukesh has never wavered. It is still strong. Go Gukesh!
Dear chessbase India call me superstitious or whatever you want but it's a kind request to make amruta sit for the entire game 14 pls, last match when amruta was on panel guki was having an advantage and also won game 11. I am high on emotion😤 pls do it...
@@kshitijverma5511 Our country never doing well in sports for these. Seriously belive in these things? So Amruta gets more credit than gukesh now 🤣
I think ding also has richard rapport as his lucky charm. He is 7 governed and as per numerology 7 governed people are very lucky for others😅
And if she was lucky for him . She was there but he could not win😢
@@smritiadak8421 yup. We are depending on others mistake.
Sagar just intensified it more than it was initially
Ding is just in another level....No wonder he was undefeated for 100 straight games
Anyway, an 18 yr old put world champion ran for his money for sure.!😂
bro did he say anything bad about gukesh ?@@MagicSmoke11
@MagicSmoke11 yeah because he memorized more prep that his team gave him, but somehow cant convert every advantage. Gukesh is good, but he needs more experience
@@MagicSmoke11 so ? 18 is not amateur in chess.
@@smritiadak8421 How many 18 yrs u saw as a Challenger in a world chess history? 😂
8:57 Could Rd6 be a better choice at this position?
Very sad to say but if magnus was there as white he would have won the game. That's why he is still the no 1. But Gukesh should have won this. At this highest level no player should draw the match from a winning position. At least at WCC.
Mai chahta hu 15th round me game jaye , us din 8 rapid unlimited blitz wala chance bhi hai😂
I love this channel
I wanted Gukesh to get the victory
Today Gukesh will become World Champion 🏆🧿❤️
My prediction. Gukesh wins last game and the championship and Arjun wins Qatar Masters and tops the Fide circuit, all on the same day.
No ding is toughest player
Prindavan😂😂😂
Anyway, an 18 yr old put world champion ran for his money for sure.!😂
Black he vo next game 😂 draw ho jaaye to bhi achha hai gukesh ke liye, winning is impossible, if Ding tries maybe he will win but he won't take risk
Ding is a superior player..only thing he loses cncentration may be he is not very keen to exert himself..Gukesh is young & tireless..Chess is a merciless game.Erigaise is a highly talented & at par with Gukesh.Whoever wins will not make a differece to Ding..already a world champion.
0:03 why it shows venue as Doha, Qatar?
Editor ki galti hai 😂
Qatar Masters chal raha, uska editing isme mix kar diya.
Nice catch!🙂
Gukesh is weaker than Ding mentally, Ding will beat him in 14th round today and will win WC. Too bad, probably this was easiest match for a contendar to win WC, he let so many chances slip away.
Ding is too good for Guki. Maybe Ding is the deserving one.
Sir is legal to move right hand to left hand 17.53😂😂😂,is anybody explain,as per rule
If we move with left hand then also touches the clock with left this is legal, illegal if we touches the piece with left and press clock with right.
Doesn't care which hand u move
I don't know if Gukesh is continuing his college, if that is so then he needs to quit college and focus on chess full time. He easily could have won the championship in round 8 or 9, game 1 he was also winning, but went wrong. In game 12 moves like h6, Rb8 these moves are not his playing style, I think he tried to play safe and he lost the match. Its hard to do both college and a sport simultaneously.
He did not even go to school!
He dropped out of school. A big decision made by family especially his dad being a qualified Doctor
Ding comes back with the banana❤
first second mai kya rakha hai aaj guki bhai black sai pel ke rakh denge today we win guyss no jinx pls
@chessbaseindia @sagar shah 15:35 why Gukesh didn't take pawn with rook first, queen trade could have followed?
It will be immediate draw with 3 fold repetition.. Queen checks white king continuously
bring amruta back for luck please when she was on the panel he was winning
Ding will go for a draw mostly in last round
Not after how he became world champion! He will try to win at all costs
Why he loses advantage all the time
because of relying too much on prep and no original innovative ideas.
"The hardest game to win is a won game"
Emanuel Lasker
Credit to Ding's defence, that's why he was undefeated for 100+ games
Very less chance for gukesh now.
Arjun vs karthikeya game
can someone tell me the score???????/
6.5-6.5 each draw this game
Pressure on gukesh he has to defend with black in last round Today.
Why defend, I say he should attack full on with black if given the opportunity because in tie breaks he's too weak compared to ding
Gukesh has nothing to lose here..He's the challenger. His best game will be Game14❤
@@totiodfanzsai6079Ding has not lost with white and it doesn't matter what Gukesh does in game 14 because Ding can easily force a draw with white and take it to tiebreak if he desires. That's how Ding goes undefeated for 100+ games. If Gukesh takes the risk with black then he loses anyway, it is actually good for Gukesh to play the tiebreak because he needs this experience for any future WCC attempts afterall it's not surprising that 18 year olds aren't ready to be world champion.
This generation of players shouldn't rely on prep, they should instead learn to play beautiful chess like Ivanchuk and Mikhail Tal. I think these Indian youngsters need to hire Ivanchuk.
You've only seen their beautiful games yet. They play badly too, but these youngsters have got a standard they won't go down that std in any situation
Ivanchuk never won a world championship nor was a contender for the WC title. He is a great player but too inconsistent to be a world champion. If you want beautiful games, then be ready to be inconsistent player.
First like first view first comment under 55 second
Dings defence
gukesh didnt utilize the mistakes ding made and probably thats gonna cost him the title
If Magnus played against Ding, he would be leading 6-1 vs Ding rn. That many opportunities are blown by Gukesh!!
first under 15 secs
Gukesh drew the game with white. Last game today with black ♟️
All the best to both Gukesh and Arjun for the finals today
Noticed: Gukesh is writing down each move after playing, but Ding is not! First, it shows the tensions in Ding's mind. You are supposed to write a move after playing. There should be a strict law regarding that. If Ding had been forced to write a move after playing, Gukesh might have just won this game since Ding would not be able to focus on the board in a continous stream like manner. Small detail but the FIDE may look into this at this level.
It's a rule, when less than 5minutes, it is not compulsory to write. Even gukesh did that when he had less time in previous games
Article 8: The recording of the moves
8.4 _If a player has less than five minutes left on his/her clock during an allotted period of time and does not have additional time of 30 seconds or more added with each move, then for the remainder of the period he/she is not obliged to meet the requirements of Article 8.1.1._
stop being Dumb man...why so desperate?
Prindavan😂😂😂😂
It's vrindavan which is a religious place for Hindus, ask your people in Bali...nothing to laugh
I dont like a bit that pkayers keep on leasing the table... so un-elegant, anti seriousnees, awfull

I thought Ding was completely lost, but you can never count out a champion.
He becomes dangerous when he has less time
No matter what, Jeetega Bhai Jeetega Gukesh Jeetega🥰🤗🇮🇳🔥

Please do not laugh during streaming sagar. Your sound is very annoying.
I like =2600 elo❤
I am first
Ding is weak but Gukesh is weaker, MC would have ended this match in 10 games, but our Guki is a chicken, even after having opening advantage in almost all white games and also clock advantage close to hour, he could not convert. This is such a weak play.
You say that. But when Magnus was at his peak. Karjakin was his challenger who is mostly out of the top 10 in 2015, climb to world number 9 before his matches with Magnus. Magnus was 81 points above Karjakin. Yet, they played all the way to tiebreak, and Karjakin drew first blood and actually lead Magnus. That Magnus in 2016 should be stronger than the Magnus currently.
@@yolooo5081 , Karjakin then was still stronger than Ding today, even Pragg will annihilate Ding in 1-1 match. Gukesh, failed to convert 3 games at least, and Ding beating him on demand is something telling about mental state of both players.
@@yolooo5081 Exactly. This needs to be posted to everyone going Magnus Magnus.
Ding will crush him today
Humans don't rf8 ‼️
My god said gukesh is not going to win!!
