No light-bleed issues with my 2022 edition, thankfully.
Anyone who wants to speed up their S6 lite, navigating between apps, should turn off pointless animations IMO. It really does make the tablet feel much quicker. 👍
I've also tryied the trick but later stop caring as it's smooth enough at default state for my s7fe
I got mine last year for bday when on sale. Good for productive work, notetaking, cloud and android gaming. Great screen (i think)Still acts like new. For my needs and 200 bucks ill have this a few more yrs at least.

The only thing I am really willing to play on mine is clash of clans anything more demanding than that and it struggles to the point where I would rather use my faster but smaller phone. It really is just fast enough to do simple multitasking that is it. Screen could be brighter at times and it is a bummer it is not OLED which would make taking black and white notes or reading really nice.
Thing is I don't care about the pen, just need a tab with a keyboard that can handle a little excel

Hey! I've had mine for about two years now and it became really slow. Are there ways to make it respond better? Even after a factory reset, it's as slow as before doing it. I plan to use it for some drawing or maybe at least for digital note taking and file reading for college this upcoming semester.

depends what you need, this one includes s pen where ipad doesn't, but ipad would be more powerful.

I own the original A with 16GB of storage, it runs terrible, and I just want one that is a lot better, but not one that's like 300 dollars. The tab a8 is cheaper than the s6, but I'm not sure which to get

they're pretty much the same for that but i'd go with the newer one for longer software updates and a little better performance
I still have my 2020 tablet, going strong. Though curious if anyone has flashed Lineage to it? If yes, is there better performance compared to OneUI, and does the pen still function?
just bought the 2020 version, and it is running a lot faster on lineage than on one ui 4.1.1
@@w_tapper how did you manage to get the custom rom on, any particular online guide? I've got the bootloader unlocked but could not find a working recovery, none worked and most removed from online. I was thinking the current Andoid 13 is not able to take custom recoveries

It's pretty close but I would think the newer version is going to get more software updates
idk if its only me but mine is extremely slow and i just not use it bcs of that. it used to be normal but lately been acting up for no reason, turning on takes 5 min at least, laggy launcher and all. just sitting on my desk.
Yep same here, I have a iPad 8 that released the same year and it is still running flawlessly. My s6 lite on the other hand… many games are laggy and it just feels so much slower, also has a screen burn in problem.

I have one. Sort of cool tablet, witha nice to have pen, but I really hate how slow it is. Dex is usefull and I usually use it for Parsec and a PC. But compared to an iPad this tablet and an A52 samsung phone are the only two devices in recent years that made me angry while using them. As always, cheap slightly older flaghip (maybe not android) is a much better option than new "budget" e-waste. If they're not unuseable straight out of the box they sure will be within a year .

As a user of this very Tablet, I would say NO.
The only reason Samsung is still selling this is that it's the only tablet in it's price class that happens to come with pen support (a great pen support wacom emr). Otherwise there are much better tablets with better hardware. For e.g the Mi PAD 5 thrashes the S6 Lite in sheer performance and fluidity and screen.
Buy this only if you are too broke to afford a Tab S7 or above product (like I was a year and half ago), want an S-Pen and some ecosystem features.
Beware 4GB RAM is the biggest bottleneck, it kills web browsing/multi window/complex layered drawing experience.
the mi pad 5 is more expensive and u gotta pay extra for the pen.

before I pay anything for the s7 tab, s7 tab fe or even the xiaomi pad. i would go for the s8 tab or s8+.
in the price categorie of the s6 lite 22 the only good viable option is the iPad 9 + some cheap pen from amazon.
but u cant beat the dex mode once u have used it.
@@forsaken7161 the Mi Pad 5 without S Pen is sometimes even cheaper than Tab S6 Lite and rest of the time it's the same price.
If you don't need an S-Pen, I don't know where the S6-Lite is better than the MiPad 5. That's why I said the S-Pen is the only reason to buy.
I have tried Dex mode, I use it with my Galaxy S20 FE 5G and I have a couple of videos on it (TechStation365 channel) but it doesn't save the Tab S6 Lite.
At the end of the day the Mi Pad 5 trounces it in every aspect other than Pen input.
As for Tab S8, no Amoled no buy. Tab S8+ too expensive and SD8G1 is garbage.
Tab S7+ is the limit of a tablet purchase because beyond that I can get a nice OLED Laptop with Ryzen 5000 CPU, later I can add a pen tablet if I really want to draw in professional apps.
Yes, we can buy pen if we want but we can't upgrade slow processor of tab s6 lite. I would never recommend anyone to buy s6 lite
