Reading in the manga, that somehow felt like a more suspenseful wait for the next chapter than the drums of liberation to me, and all of it was in his face. The drums I was crazy hyped and waiting for the reveal of what was actually happening, but luffy losing the final fight and mostly just seeing kaidos pure torment over the same worst case scenario happening twice just shook me.
He was told not to check them anymore due to spoilers Which honestly is kind of a shame. i would have loved him discovering THAT frame and seeing the theories go wild XD
@@aqsw57 Yep! Just before Luffys final attack where he gets stopped here, it goes through all his gears in impact frames and lands on a gear 5 one with laughter surrounding him for a split second. Of course its abstract in the way impact frames are and someone who wouldnt know of it yet might not understand thats what it is. But I guess it was still enough for the chat to stop hei to look for it

The attack-moves of Luffy & Kaido's in this episode: I loved how they turned out!!!! Like Kaido's Drunken Beggar phase was basically him being a flirty beggar of Kaidou's Dragonic Drunken Fist mode. And Luffy combining Kong Gun with Conqueror's Haki to form Over-Kong Gun was essentially if the name changed would be Overlord Monkey Gun-Fist!!!!!!!!

Yeah multiple people have called out Luffy and said his abilities dont work like rubber actually should before. Lucci, katakuri, big mom, doflamingo, etc. everyone thought it was just Oda being self-aware and poking fun at himself for so long
CP0s interference was added just so Kaido couldn’t get the satisfaction of victory. Judging on how much he still had in the tank vs gear 5, it’s reasonable to assume he would’ve won anyway, but Kaido’s whole character revolves around being the strongest and still not achieving the greatness he wanted. Some great writing fr.

kaido sayd is impossible to rubber do that thing of snake man, but right after the "drunken thiff" did it, because luffy was doing it with haki, with haki becomes possible.
Drunken Theif technique was mistranslated. It’s my biggest complaint of this fight. In the Manga it’s clear that Kaido was using future sight which is why he is a thief. (He stole Luffy’s technique)

Not necessary. Katakuri explained it himself: Its not like he cant see snakemans attacks, they are simply too fast to react even after seeing them because they change trajectory so quickly. So Kaido could simply be faster as well. He definitely has future sight too tho
Honestly speaking, I think Luffy would have lost here even without the interference. By the time 5th came out to deal with Kaido, bro had a helluva lot more stamina left to deal with that, I don't think this 4th punch would have done enough, luffy'd be out of stamina and have lost without the interference.
