Hey I'm from future, nowadays Kara was one of three main characters on the game called Detroit: Become Human. This game was critical success.

This is very powerful and actually made me cry a little...
The facial expressions are just spot on and don't hit the 'uncanny valley' syndrome.
Being an android, the moments it does go into uncanny valley actually work to their advantage.
That's because they use motion capture. It's the very likeness of the actress through pins set on her face and a suit on her body. They then go in on a computer and touch up anything that doesn't quite look right. It's a really cool and intricate process that I wish more games did.

Markus, Connor, and Kara are RA9. Markus became their leader, Connor set them all free, (if you choose for him to be deviant) and Kara was the first to awaken.
Cat and Dog Gaming I’m sorry, Kara is Ra9, Ra9 is the first android awakening. Markus is prophet. The relationship between markus and connor is still mysterious. Amanda create connor and Kamski create connor. They both act like prophet because they the only android can convert other android. If you watch Detroit trailer. You can see Kara walk like happily and human like android and other android saw that. Then they awake
Actually I think you're ALL wrong. Amanda, leader of Cyberlife, is RA9. I believe that will be the reveal if/when they make a sequel

Wow. This is pretty amazing. In the span of 7 mins they created a character that I actually cared about and connected with. The concept might not be very original but the execution was flawless. Bravo! The future of gaming is indeed bright.

Every time I watch this, I still get goosebumps and shivers up and down my spine. The emotion in her voice...
I'd imagine it would play in some way similar to Heavy Rain. One that focuses on character development and choices over straight gameplay. I'd buy it.

PLEASE MAKE THIS INTO A GAME, QUANTIC DREAM, PLEASE! In those few minutes you set the background for a better story than most games out there. Plus, it looks damn amazing graphically.

Watched this for the first time this morning, KARA's emotion made the hairs on my neck stand on end and moved me to tears. It's been stuck in my head all day. This performance capture is amazing and really helps tell stories - I think all games should use this in future. Brilliant work Quantic Dream.
Why just a movie? A video game gives you the power to interact with the story!

I remember watching this video when it first came out, and as I was finally watching Detroit become human it hit me I'd seen her before. This is absolutely incredible. A concept from a PS3 Tech video became such a critically acclaimed, amazing game.
I am speechless, this is incredible. The narrative, the editing the animation, outstanding.
This feel so much like an asimov story and just feel so real. I hope what ever game does come from this has the same feel!

What were they like?
Connor will be absolutely normal and behave. Markus is a prototype which is gifted to Karl by Kamski, so he would not be disassembled even he shows self conciousness to some extends. It was even so designed by Kamski, becuz Karl is an artist u know.
Detriot: Become Human and Cyberpunk 2077 are the only 2 games to have teasers that were shown almost a decade ago and have had their actual game released now and in the past 2 years.
The graphics aren't nothing we haven't seen before, but the animation is simply perfect. That's how a character has to move.

The little "My God," from the narrator was just as powerful as the rest of the video. Poor guy thought he was just assessing machinery, and instead, he was dispensing life or death. Just imagine how crazy it would be if a microwave you were about to throw in the dumpster suddenly developed sentience and began begging for its life.

@renehoyvik I agree. It's astonishing how a clip shorter than 10 minutes can carry a compelling story in such an effective manner. Further proof that video games have the real potential to become the "deep" storytelling medium... as long as Hollywood keeps up what they're doing.
I'd love to see how the story for this would develop. I hope it would be something for the history books as Deus Ex, Portal and Half-Life have acheived.
Just the questioning of conciousness, humanity, living and even redefining what is "defective".
Some of these have been questioned before, namely Deus ex, but as a full android, It would make a VERY interesting story, if done correctly of course.
Lets ignore Heavy rain & fahrenheits gameplay and hope they do something innovative in all area's.

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen for the PlayStation 3. And I thought that there was nothing that can beat Heavy Rain in the emotional sense.
@Candanguru that's it! I looked it up using a fan website and wikipedia. The whole "you're not supposed to think" thing is quite like that, and the novel it was based off of.

you just feel a great sense of empathy towards a character,a FICTIONAL character, that you only saw for mere minutes. and that right there,is great material to get worked out.
