Vrabel and Larry Centers had HoF worthy careers. Vrabel will most certainly get in if he continues to do well as a head coach, and Centers is arguably the greatest receiving runningback (as a fullback) of all time.
This is why Belichick is a great coach he finds out what you can do then he uses ur skill to help his team win games case in point Vrabel was a Steelers player for a while and was basically a special teams player and the moment he arrived in new England he was a huge factor on defense and Bill even found out that he was a pretty good goalline threat....Bill wants smart people that play football...as Bill is a smart coach
That ain't the only time he was able to look into a players talent and put them on the field to be successful he was able to use Hank Poteat and Troy Brown to help win playoffs games as defensive backs ....he was smart enough to get LaGarret Blount to come to Pittsburgh then make the Steelers cut him and in that se year they won the superbowl.....or how about that punt return specialist we got from the patriots last year and his fumble near the end of the game sealed the patriots victory......Bill has been playing chess while we been playing checkers for over 20 years .....
apparently the decision to have vrabel playing Tight end on the goal line had nothing to do with Belichick.. it was the offensive coaches that spearheaded that whole thing and apparently Bill was just in disbelief that it worked over and over again lol he thought it was dumb and that the defenses would know the play would never be designed to run to vrabel's side
Yea, I remembered that he caught a bunch of TD's, and after rewatching them you can tell why they kept going back to him over the years. Dude was capable of making a great play in the endzone.
I completely forgot Vrabel was in KC with Cassel after their tenure with NE. Vrabel honestly could have had a notable career as strictly a TE. What an awesome player he was.
Had not realized that every time he caught a pass, it was for a TD. You would think that opposing defenses would have put _someone_ on him after his third or fourth TD catch, but on some of those plays, Vrabel ended up in his own zip code.
12 career targets, 12 career catches, 12 career touchdowns on offense
He was 100 percent, that’s incredible
Linebacker with 13 career tds and 12 of them are on offense 😆
Never dropped a pass either. He Bobbled a TD against the eagles in the sb that’s all

As a Linebacker in High School this is my dream 😭😭😭

1:41 Psyches out the fan by almost giving him the football hahah
That one vs the rams was actually a great catch
Amazing. Seau at FB and Vrabel at LB, all-defense offense would be amazing
Edit: Vrabel at TE*
Old man Seau in is insane
Don't forget Troy Brown at cornerback!
Mike Vrabel is a legend and my all time favorite Patriots linebacker. He's in the Patriots Hall of fame.
12 catches 12 touchdowns
Legitimately one of the best 2 way (offensive and defensive) players of the last 40 years of the NFL
Patriot's legend! One day, he'll might come to the Pats and become our head coach! He's always welcome back here in Foxborough!
well... 😉
12 receptions 17 yards 12 touchdowns. What a goated career.
