Vintage Fanna... Tai Fu Chieh upset Eros (Fanna aboard) one Wednesday I believe with Lindon Lewis in the saddle, but Eros returned a few weeks later and "spank" him in no uncertain manner. Tai Fu Chieh (Wise Emissary) was yet another talented offspring of the brilliant Kaz Hoshay.
The trainer once said Eros the best horse he train but he never fully train him because of other owner he train for and he said bluntly no other owner like there horse been beaten by stable star all the time and Eros owned by Phil so the man give other owner's chance by not training Eros properly
This horse breeding,he should have been a good stallion, but jamaican breeders is something else

I watched this race again several times just now, just to see fannas tactic on tai fu chie, and this is my opinion. Fanna broke smartly as he knew alpha omega had speed and hustled his mount as if he was vie for the lead, so that the race could get a fast pace up front but then took a pull making sure there would be a tussle upfront and so deny alpha omega to be really settled in front as he knew tai fu chie would outstay alpha omega over the mile, when alpha omega disposed of the horses in front, he sent his mount in chase so as not to give alpha omega any breather and though charles hussey tried every trick in the ( going wide and then drifting to intimidste tai fu chie) the legend galvanised his mount to come alongside hussey and outstay him to the post. Loved the way he stood up at the wire, and shows how confident a rider he was, but this race showed me a lot of rhought goes into race riding, tactics have to be right and a jockey has to be fkexible to adjust their tactics to how the race is ran. Winston fanna griffiths is blessed with all the tools needed to be the best, and yeah hes the best jamsican jockey ive seen. Concrete respect sir rohan that race and commentary gave me goode bumps 💯🔥🔥🔥💯

The Governor cup was a nice race too with Tai Fu Chieh and QWI and the ST.Leger was a good race too both race was in 1993

Winnie Jogged up the 5 straight that morning getting ready for that race. Hussey didn't have a chance.
Hussey.... snatching up Alpha Omega (to suggest some kind of interference) when he realized that he was soundly beaten.....that's one of the things I never liked about Charles Hussey.....he had "that thing" about him

.....Can any half sensible person who knows anything about horse racing in Jamaica really deny that Winston Griffiths was a talented jockey??.....One of the BEST jockeys to accurately judge the pace of a horse as well as the pace of race??
