Sisters Committed to Repair: Sensing the Way Forward Together

Welcome to this Land Justice Futures conversation, “Sisters Committed to Repair: Sensing the Way Forward Together.” We’re here with three women religious (AKA Catholic nuns) Srs. Pat Siemen, Joan Gallagher, and Mary Hroscikoski, who are in their second year of our Land Justice Focus Community Program. Together we’ll be reflecting on the still in-process journeys of land justice -- the pivotal, galvanizing moments, those sparks of insight, and the embodied experience of finding or moving towards commitment.
For anyone who is new, we are Land Justice Futures, and we work to create new land transitions rooted in racial and ecological healing through our partnership with religious communities (sisters) and movement partners. We define land justice as healing and regeneration of land, protecting it from extraction, and restoring stewardship to Black, Indigenous, and other dispossessed communities.
