    Built my Sauna last year and feel like I've got great ventilation. Id love to see a video explaining how and where venting should be!

      Thanks Jeffrey! I'm making a comprehensive course on overall sauna building, that will start dropping in the next few weeks video by video, should be about 25 videos total. This will be covered as well in that series.

      I found the Huum WoodFired Rock Sauna Heater.
      That’s a cool Heater.
      Thanks.
      I’m going to be doing groundwork tomorrow in preparation for foundation footer. I’ll be designing over winter for a Sauna.
      Greetings from Alaska 🫎

    What do you think about a ceiling shape like the top of a house?

    • @thesaunaheater
      @thesaunaheater  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In case you mean a gable roof, that's suboptimal as the hot & steamy air is going to want to stay there, but not the worst ceiling shape in the world.

      @@thesaunaheater thank you for your reply. I am from Germany and i have problems with an outdoor sauna built by a "professional". Is it possible to get help about my sauna at the Sauna Society community?

    Where is the temperature sensor normally placed? I recently installed one where it instructed to place the sensor above the sauna heater but I’ve read opposing suggestions online 🤔

    • @thesaunaheater
      @thesaunaheater  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really depends on the sauna heater brand, if the ventilation is well done it doesn't matter since the temperatures are equal across the sauna. But each brand has their own guidelines you should follow!

    How long should an optimal indoor sauna take to reach 175F?

    • @thesaunaheater
      @thesaunaheater  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With a correctly sized sauna heater around 50-55 minutes.

    Since we are coming to the scientific and measurable side of modern saunas.. I have a question. What is the optimal temperature for heated rocks on top of the sauna heater? Let’s say, I’m using wood heated sauna heater and those granite rocks that come from Finland (5-10cm diameter)? How do I know the rocks are heated to the core? Hi from Estonia ✌️

    • @thesaunaheater
      @thesaunaheater  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Optimal temp for those rocks would be somewhere around 300c or 550f ish. You can't really know, since nothing measures the rock temperature in a heater. However, heaters are designed in a way that when sized correctly, rocks should be at perfect temp point when your sauna reaches bathing temperature :)
