@@hollyb6885 i like that too but don'u u think that a positive version of Dr House was a better finale? Free from drogs, loved ans happy. After 8 seasons i would say yes, but instead we take the same House addicted to Vicodin and alone: so season 5-6- and half of season 7 were pretty useleless
The closest thing House has ever had to a happy ending. They both are *still* miserable and broken, a lot of bad stuff happened and going to happen, but they're continue looking for an opportunity to love without issues, struggling with their misery and trying to find happiness. That was the perfect moment to finish the series - with their hands crossed together and a hope that one day they'll be doing it without someone's tragic death in the background.
To be honest a lot of greg’s character development at this point of show was entirely because of cuddy he went to correction for her because he wanted to be a better person for the people around him (I love that part) he wants to become better tho he might not accept him and slowly but steady he becomes better that part where he says between saving patients and you Id choose you that would be the ideal ending but the writer wants to show that in real life their is no happy ending all life all relationships end in misery at one point or another a happily ever after just doesnt exist and when its over people get hurt the supposed good change that was being bought by cuddy to him was only an affect of his relationship which didnt last and house ended in the same misery from season to season 8 despite the people he met the things that happened he tried his best to change in his ways but he couldnt hence his rigid thinking that people dont change and relationships dont last because he couldnt make them last not that it was his fault he was the way he was and not everybody could understood and sacrifice themselves in devotion to him kinda like wilson did (as a friend) but still
This scene was epic when it first aired, and it's still epic now. It's kind of fitting, unfortunately, that House eventually went and screwed it all up to the point beyond repair --- but for one shining moment, everything was perfect. They gave us a great payoff to House and Cuddy's slow burn.
sometimes... i wish they had ended it here... or have a happy finale on season 7... although i get it... he's an addict and that's going to be difficult but... damn.. it was such a great moment yet they... ugh.. but at least... this was a nice moment.
Yorcont it’s more complicated they were supposed to be end game but they made Lisa leaving the show she was about to sign for the 8th season and they refused to give her more money they let her go and ruined the show. They changed the season finale of S7 after she left because they wrapped it before all this stupid contract negotiations
This has to be one of my favorite scene with the kiss and the touch no matter how miserable he is his OTP one true pair meaning his best friend has to be Wilson who has been with him throughout the hard times and my favorite part besides Wilson is Cuddy the way House is in Love with he can deny it but the Love is inside of him even though it make his life excruciatingly miserable I just Love watching House MD
Watch the scene for the first time today as a grown man I legit started tearing up especially when she says I don’t want to love you but I do maybe it was because of what’s going on in my life currently but I know what that feeling is like to love somebody that you wish you didn’t you’re just always drawn back to them magazine was really good I cannot wait to finish the show
I had major reconstruction surgery on my right knee. I was given Vicodin for the pain. After watching House for years I expected more of a buzz. My second thought was to strictly limit my usage as I was terrified as my family had addiction issues. I got through the experience. In retrospect I am astonished how many pills that I was prescribed (with a refill~Never used it) It took me years to use up the pills…..for occasional pain issues.
Apparently the writers chose Vicodin because its name sounds cool. In reality House's liver would have failed after two seasons with how much he takes.
This would have been a great ending. Lisa Edelstein leaving completely ruined the show. Is there some kind of universal law I wonder, stating that a TV series cannot end at the top but must run itself into the trash after 7-9 seasons? I thought The X files was the exception to the rule with its rather great s9 but nope they made another two seasons years later just so they could ruin it. *sighs*
“I am the most screwed up person in the world.” House is a man that’s not afraid to admit he’s got problems. And the fact he’s saying that to warn the woman that’s in love with him is heartbreaking.
One subtle detail I think people miss is that at the beginning of the scene, when House is at his lowest, it’s dark. He surrounded in darkness with only the bathroom lights illuminating the room. As things change, and Cuddy confesses her love and House gets his hope back, the room begins to flood with light from outside. This is where the show ends for me. They did good episodes after this, but this is where I think the show should have ended.
series ends here as far as im concerned lol. season 7 got progressively unrealistic and season 8 was horrible. this is a beautiful ending that the characters deserved
This is the PERFECT ending to the show and they should have ended it here House and Cuddy finally get together but at the same time you don't know if it will last or even for how long For me this is the real ending for House and everything else is just a dream
This is how House should have ended. Perfect ending and perfect character's development from being a jerk in 1 to 4 season, being assaulted by guilt feelings because of Amber and Kutner death in season 5 and finally being a normal and a lovely man in season 6 because of Cuddy. Season 7 and 8 are so pointless.
The show should have ended right here. Seasons 7 and 8 were never going to have a prayer of being this good. That, and once two characters get together that the fans have been rooting for all along, it always ends things. That’s just how TV goes.
That was an episode before. This is the genuine ongoing. The episode before was the one she said "this is beyond asshood" after he hallucinated that he'd slept with her and then announced it to a lot of people in the hospital. I'm sure this is the for real one

What a sweet sweet smile at the end of the sceene from Cuddy...

Happyish, dead Wilson, no medical license and a winey kid.
