I've already spent many happy evenings on Synth so far, soaring away to fresh inspired sonic heights. And it pairs so nicely with Polyend Tracker+ expanding it's soundscape and sparking a whole new chapter in my musical journey.
I am absolutely in love with SYNTH. It's a ambient / experimental tool box full of awesome stuff! I can only see this getting better and better! It's fun, it sounds great, and a lot of things to do already out of the box. Makes for a great polyAT midi controller too!
how bout making a video how it pairs with the tracker + and does it run the tracker clock, a deeper dive perhaps? I think it will be informative and a big selling point for a number of people
Will there be packs from Polyend for this, much like the Palletes for plat and tracker? Also what kind of updates can we look forward to? ( I purchased mine yesterday, waiting on shipping)
Love the features and form factor, but for some reason the sounds I've heard so far aren't getting me to pull the trigger. Definitely wish it had an internal battery (not a external usb bank, an internal battery like the Deluge), still seems like a great synth though, and perfect to play at a show.
I got one, but i’m facing 2 issues right now. Turning the Volume encoder produces alot of crackles and clicks in the mix, is this expected? Also i’m facing often high CPU warning and CPU (i.e. with 2 instances of PMD and Grains engine) overload resulting in an unresponsive UI. Will the performance issues be addressed or is the HW already on its limit? Otherwise i like the idea and the creative approach, that why i brought it.
I have the SAME issue- I just got one and the firmware does NOT fix the glitchy and pops- Also some presets from the factory that use the grain engine are CPU high all the time and are always messed up...
@@Bigfamilyhomestead Mine has some mega issues as well. It locks up constantly and randomly the first pad on the top left will just play and get stuck on a never ending note.
Big fan of the T+ and Play but I gotta say, I received the Synth last week and this thing crashes and has more weird bugs than anything I've ever seen, even with the most recent firmware. Crashes so hard that I have to literally unplug the system from power as the usual hard reset (hold down power) doesn't work. Changing scenes or even just picking a new synth engine almost always results in the first pad always playing and getting stuck on a note. Other times, pressing a pad results in nothing until the sound is reloaded once or twice. I think this little box is has some great ideas but it needed some more time in the oven.
Hi! I have a INIU BI-B41 power bank, in the rear label it says: 10000 mah/37Wh, inputs/outputs: DC5V/3A(Max). Do you think it will (safely) power a Polyend Synth?
Been using INIU BI-B41 power bank with Polyend Tracker for months now with no problems. And when the Synth arrived I used it to power both Tracker and Synth MIDI linked with no power issues and perfect audio. I bought a second INIU BI-B41 power bank in case I do have any audio ground loop issues but not needed it yet. Polyend seem to have mastered USB powered devices unlike other big name manufacturers.
This is really cool... and kinda sexy 🙂 I can see it playing along my Polyend Play OG... I would like to know : is there some kind of roadmap or something about what would be foreseeable changes in the futur ? (maybe other synth engines ? Audio usb out ? things like that)

Please email support if you continue to have issues. CPU overload will cause audio dropouts but the grain engine should not be high all the time. It is dependant on the other synth voices you load, loading a voice will use CPU even if it isn't played. Gain-staging with the Synth is also important, but we chose to allow for more options than artificial limits that you cannot clip - and clipping can occur with levels over -12dB on synhts, effect sends higher the mix levels etc.
Really like the concept, design and hands on ux. Unfortunately, the synth engines don't really convince me. They sound like lower end vsts...and then there is the 8 voices polyphony. I think these devices are just underpowered...
You are kidding right? The kind of processing power it takes to have almost zero latency, real time transformation of multiple parameters, pro studio effects and a plethora of other processes running in the background. If you want more than eight voices; The price goes up, the size increases and they would need a bigger development team and production time would be longer and that drives the bottom line up even more. It's amazing Polyend have pulled this off at this price range and form factor.
@@azy6868 I wish it would sound better, as i said i really like the general concept. Maybe it isn't possible at this pricepoint, though i don't think the polyend synth is cheap for what you're getting. Definitely would be possible in this form factor, as the OP-XY has just proven. The OP-XY synth engines sound a lot better. I also think the Minifreak sounds a lot better too. I think Polyend synth engines were developed as an addon to their existing platform, right? Didn't they issue a "plus" version of a product just 1 year after launching, so they could add the synths? To me, they're sonically like the plugins of my Akai Force, not terrible, not amazing.
Polyend is a small team so they've probably been busy listening to feedback and working on getting the firmware updates ready. And if that's the case I agree with their priority's. I've had mine for 5 days now and it's so inspiring and intuitive, the evenings are flying by and I just don't know where the time goes.
the price and the features!! keep it up, you are quickly becoming one of the most innovative and accesible music makers, thank you!

That's what I would like to know. I've the Tracker. Does this run off the trackers clock. Would love to see it working with other gear.
@@KMc-u9c the same thing I was wandering.. and thinking of maybe buying if I get good answers
Received yesterday. Truly amazing...
I received mine this weekend. So far I love this little beast!

It sounds killer.

I love the idea here also, but like you the sounds I heard produced with it leaves me a bit cold.
it rocks and is replacing some elektron gear in my live setup...
keep them all!! they will rock together im sure 👏👏

Cool stuff. I'd be interested though to see this perform outside of ambient genres.
Ordered one, can't wait for it to arrive. Seems like a lot of fun!
I feel like Polyend runs my pockets twice a year just like this
Can anyone confirm if the polyend synth can send audio via USB, and if so does it send the three synths separately?
It doesn't.
🔥❤💪🏼
Introduce it to your New Zealand distributors so I can buy one.
