Great video. I have the Adventure 1 and do like it. Purchasing it again I’d get the step though. I use the bike quite a bit for fishing with a rod holder on the back and swinging a leg over the back, avoiding the rod, gets old. I’ve found that I prefer just not to pedal. So I wish for a twist type throttle to vary the speed and not just on and off.
Thanks! I’d like to give the step through a try myself. I’ve heard most people end up preferring them for e-bikes. Would love to see your rod holder set up. If you have a minute some time, email a picture of your setup. Im looking into outdoor/hunting setups.
Nice video! Your problem withe brakes is they were not properly bedded and have oil or contaminants.on them. When you touch the rotors, it does serious damage! I have over 2,200 miles and have spent much time getting the brakes to a perfect place. Feel free to see my videos on that and happy riding.
Thanks! Took a peak at your channel, great job! Love getting to see the longevity of these bikes on display!! And yes, thank you. I didn't realize that the brakes didn't come "burned in" as I use to call it back in my mountain bike days, and after talking to customer service it kind of dawned on me like one of those "duh" moments. And based on the pressure difference in the brake levers I'm pretty certain that there was some kind of leak. They are not leaking now, but there must have been at some point. And thank you again, good sir, happy riding indeed!
Other than the label on the battery, how are you checking yours? I was just going off of the label. It says it is 47.1v and 678.2wh. Which would make it about 14.4 right?
@@Marvelofebikes Oh, okay I see. I thought maybe I was missing something or that I was misunderstanding the math/conversion. I think maybe they changed it up?? The section I showed in the video is the label with the barcode. It's actually the only marking/insignia on the entire battery pack.
I was thinking of buying the level even though I do like how the fat tire bikes looks. If I have to pedal without power I would rather pedal the level.. I haven't quite warmed up to the torque sensor on the 2 versions.
Yes, I was on the fence about getting the level as well, for the same reason. I had real concerns about running out of battery power, or even just failure from the powered components in general, and if I was far from home how would it be trying to get back home??? I've been surprised by how easy the aventure has been to get around without power, but it certainly will not compare to the level for sure. I hope to be testing the some of these differences out between these bikes soon. And, I'm not totally sold on Torque sensors yet as well. I see the advantage in key areas, but I'm kind of fond of some of the perks that a cadence sensor offers (ghost pedaling is nice on hot hot summer days).

@@VoltVlog Thanks for the response. Don't forget to check out the battery amp hours as it shoud be 15

@@VoltVlog I was going off the battery, the sticker that has the bar code. Looks a bit different than what you showed. It exactly says 48V 15Ah 720Wh

Also, check that battery. I have V 1 and it’s 48v x 15mh, for a 720. Something not right there!
I’m still trying to figure out why my battery is different. I’m going to reach out to Aventon about it.
