pro tip.. if you have the door limiting strap off don't park downward in the driveway your gonna crease the front fender.. it was tough to watch you working on that door but thanks for the video I was having the same window issue.
24:02 Sound deadening … Use the asphalt/bitumen one. Sound is vibrations transferred to the surrounding air. Bitumen sound deadening stops the metal from vibrating and makes the car very quiet. Note: you need very little bitumen sound deadening to make a huge difference. Without knowing specifically I’d say it’s enough if you cover 25% of the entire area to get a sufficient result.
@@FixLife119 It is good as F! It turned my Gen3 as quiet as a Rolls Royce. But as it is heavy, buying it online is expensive due to shipping cost. Ask stereo/music/speaker unit installers. They should have it on the shelf.
Have you considered using lanolin inside the frame structures? It’s great rust protector for sealed applications, like inside tubes, inside the doors, and similar b
@@BorisEkner Yes sir, I think its an '87 so 37 years old, yeah luckily not too bad under there. Hopefully with this climate and the undercoating it'll be good for a long time.
The spark plugs look to run too cold. They are covered in black dry sot. They should have a beige color, then you know they are at the correct operating temperature. If they are white they are running too hot.
@@BorisEkner I should have put some better light on the plugs, the video makes it really hard to see and it was cloudy. I swapped them for the ones that were in it when I bought it, hopefully those are the correct heat range. Is the #5 what represents the heat range?
@@FixLife119 You’d have to ask the manufacturer for that info. I’d expect any manufacturer would ask for info on engine, pictures of spark plugs and more to help you get the best ones for your engine I once had an Audi 80, petrol. As I am fond of performance I got the best 3:rd party plugs money could buy. They overheated. Meaning when turning the engine off they ignited 2-3-4 more revs before dying. That’s a very serious issue as the engine can get ruined from it. I talked to Audi about my issue and bought the plugs they recommended. They were designed as if they were plugs for racing vehicles. I had never seen anything like it, and they worked great for the years to come. Spark plugs are not something to neglect nor ignore. Get the best o e you can find and don’t be cheap. @@numbskullskills I wanted to already have it for sale but then decided to change the throw out bearing, then decided might as well change the clutch, so now I get to pull the transmission. Prob a mistake, the clutch works fine, the bearing just makes noise. I'm sure I'll regret it but it gives me content for another video. Fingers crossed its not a huge mistake. I'm gonna start the process today. 🤞

@@BorisEkner I've never heard of it but I'll look it up. I haven't really had to do much rust treatment (on vehicles) till I bought this thing.

Look it up. The more you do restoring this Samurai and show it on video the better the price when you sell it.

For a car from, I think you said, 1986, the rust found is nothing.

The Samurai body panels are 0,8mm (0.03inches) thin.
@@BorisEkner That's sooo thin! I remember you said one time... "Never, under any circumstances, get in a wreck while driving a Samurai" lmfao!
