Commentators were just glazing the fuck out of Elpe no matter what Marss was doing, he’d take 70 in a marss combo and get complimented for di’ing out eventually
@@kiracite oh for sure, every character does, maypul just really feels like she has the least though, her combos feel artificial because of how set some of her combo starters are, like her dash attack, and the fact that you can always end a combo with the tether doesn't help too
@AJinxxedFella you can di out of and floor hug her dash attack, not all combos can end in tether. I think her combo game has a lot of depth, spiking back to the ground vs juggling, maximizing hitting into lily mid combo, optimizing wrap punishes, knowing when you can or can't get a tether nair or tether uair, dragging down with hit falling uair 1 or 2, remarking mid combo with reverse side b, tethering mid combo to get a fair and keep comboing on stage. You're welcome to feel how you feel but once you start seeing something as simplistic and worth reproach, it's hard to ever stop seeing it that way
@@elemzxx hard agree. she needs a nerf like yesterday. They should have a time limit on her seed mechanic thing where it's only a few seconds. Seed is so noncommittal that they'll always just use it in neutral and it's really annoying

He was not "completely handicapped." They both just didn't care. The match had just begun, and all Elpe took was 6% damage from the poison. He also took the time to seed Mars and give him 2% damage back, which is arguably more in Elpe's favor since it will set him up for combos and off screens. It seems like they would much rather keep the integrity of the original match than calling for a reset over something so little.
As much as I don’t like maypul, maypul does take a lot of skill to play. And doest have any big thing going on for her except for good tools for every matchup
