Due to loving first Magnificent Century with Sultan Suleiman and Sultan Hurram, I did think I could watch this. Sultana Safiye plays her role so spot on that soon everyone else gelled well each other. Little boy playing Mustafa is once again an extremely talented child! First time to watched Turkish drama and it is superb.... And I taught 1hr drama still too long for me but this is 2hrs and yet I am enjoying every minute of the story . Thank you for the English subtitles
I already watched hundred times the Magnificent Century from start to finale i really loved it,and this series im not yet amazed but its good i thought i could still know what happen to Selim and Mirihmah..
Does anyone feel like me: I was too involved with Süleyman and his surroundings. Cannot really get into Kösem. And I cant stand Safiye wears Hurrems ring, knowing that the snake Nurbaru has stolen it.
The acting is not nearly as great as in Magnificent Century. Even the storyline doesn't have the sophistication of the previous series but I'm going to give it more time to develop.
The Kosem series is also very good. I first watched Hurrem and Suleiman series 2 years ago and eventually got tired of it becus twas too long. I was only introduced to Kosem this year and also got hooked into it. I finished Kosem’s wicked life and watched Suleiman and Hurrem again so I’d see the happier stuff and glamour back. Kosem’s one is quite dark
Me too. Watching the first Magnificent Century, I felt like I was walking with Sulyeiman himself along with his harem of women (oh, I got involved in the palace intricacies from each and everyone's side!). But in this one, I just "watch" them as I should be and as I am doing now. The so-called "rebellious" Anastasia - in Ahmed's words-- (later Kosem) acts like a tantrum throwing brat and not a woman who is hell bent to get her things right even if it means standing alone, like Hurrem did. Of course, credit goes to the actor playing Hurrem. Both the young and older actors of Hurrem carried their roles to the perfection, and not just them but the entire cast. In this Magnificent Century that highlights Kosem, I don't think the three actors portraying three different phases of the titular character were able to effectively convince us of the historical Kosem. Neither the young nor the old. That goes to other casts too. That's why, I think, the show doesn't sink deep down into our hearts. It's a good show but not really that addictive enough to make you want to rewatch again and again.
I feel exact same. Suleyman, Hurrem, Mahidevran etc was so exciting characters. Seems Kosem is boring or the characters/stars are i am uncertain. None in this serial excites me like it was in Magnificient Century fm episode 1
I try so hard not to cry whenever i see a scene with Mustafa and his mother. I couldnt handle the "I will give birth to you again" phrase 🥺 I hope they will both end up ok it would break my heart. I hate how Ahmed reacted when they found Mustafa with his mother she definitely did not deserve that everybody cares about their kids.
You are wrong ,what about Hamed's life ? He doesn't care about? And you can see how Halime sultana plans to come back for the throne with her son so she deserves everything
Stunning visuals and beautiful people. I haven't seen so many stunningly beautiful actors in one show. I have always been fascinated with Ottoman history and this show is a visual treat. I hope I get to visit gorgeous Turkey in my lifetime.
The fact how Safiye Sultan tells Anastasia about being able to rise like a phoenix from ashes and write your own destiny, makes me realise how powerful Roxelana Alexandra La Rossa was! The woman who started it all! Known as Hurrem Sultan👑
Hurrem is the queen of them all. Nobody could ever be as mighty and powerful as her! It’s all hers influence mashallah. And also, No sultan could be as powerful as SULTAN SULEIMAN KHAN❤️ Such a powerful couple, they both had a big impact on the dynasty. May they rest in peace ❤️
Totally worth reading all the subtitles. Would rather hear their real voices in their own language. Made me laugh, cry, and feel exaltation. While I do not believe The Great Creator can be boxed into ANY man-made religion, this series has me captivated thus far. The costumes are fabulous, the scenes and props are marvelous and, dang, that little boy Mustafa is one great actor!
@@nisha-ve3dj yes, I now understand that little Mustafa had no fault here. His mother, Halime Sultana, was also innocent. The one who committed betrayal against Ahmed, were these two brothers, Sahin and Mehmet Giray. They wanted Ahmed to kill Mustafa and then to kill Ahmed and become themselves the rules of the state. There wasn't this stupidity that "Mustafa and Halime were guilty". It was simple: Sahin gave a lion as a gift to Ahmed, he knew what time Ahmed would feed it and he cutted the chain, so the lion would kill Ahmed and then Sahin would be the Sultan himself. Now I understand his "so different plans that he got for himself". He wanted the throne for himself. He would use Ahmed to kill Mustafa and then with the help of his brother and army, he would rebel against Ahmed and he would kill him.
Amazing acting of little Mustafa, and also Halime! The actress played the role of Halime Sultan amazing! Her acting kinda remind me of Meryem Uzerli's, she has great face expresions.

The Suleiman/Hureem series was put together better and actors were outstanding and distinctive. The last series said their names and connections often enough to remember. 🙄

Me I do, from the other Magnificent Century series. I liked him a lot. As well as the young original Harram, Ibrahim Pasha, Sultan Suleiman, and Negal Kafa. I miss those actors.
She sees the painting of herself and realizes it's the reason she was kidnapped, then he comes over and asks her IF SHE LIKES IT???? She already told him she was abducted and wants to go back to her family, she probably wishes it had never been made. And then the dude's like "no I didn't give the order, my grandmother brought you here as a gift" yeah because that makes it so much better. He could at least pretend to be sorry, but he just tells her she can't ever escape. And this is supposed to be romantic? He asked if he was going to be cruel or just, I think he already answered his own question.
Yeah I totally get why she'd be upset but he is king and something tells me he gets more understanding and their relationship gets better. I hope I'm right!
I must say Mehmet Giray its a real eye candy and he seems like a nice guy. Hope I am not wrong and he turns into a devil😅 and I also really like Iskender.
It was so heartbreaking to see Halime Sultan saying “Don’t worry, I’ll give birth to you again “ when Prince Mustafa asked her if he’ll be executed or not 😢

Sultana Halime over ambitious dream led to Shezada Mustafa downfall as locking him up for that so many years only worsen it and took toll on him too. Here it's so frustrating to know that Sultana Halime will try again and again to claim the Throne for Mustafa illegally even after this near death encounter of his son.
It's even more frustrating that she and her daughter blamed Kosem for Mustafa's lockdown. Like we all know Halime and Dilruba were responsible for this. Kosem did everything to protect Mustafa. It was good that in real life Mahferuze Sultan (mother if Osman and 3 other children) was exiled without being able to take her children with her. Kosem then raised them as her own
omg very impressive scene.... this is the best part.....i cant stop crying while on my way to work😢😥 good job to the little boy mustafa and the king😇😍 and the mother of little boy... im so touch
So how did Ahmed run all the way from the balcony to the dungeons in less than two minutes (probably less than a minute, the executioners were already in Mustafa's cell when Ahmed decided to move. Did Ahmed have a secret elevator going from the garden to the dungeons? And why didn't Ahmed just leave Halime in the dungeons, or exile her and Dilruba and raise Mustafa himself (with Kosem)? Giving Halime another chance? Really? Well, we all know how Halime will repay Ahmed's compassion...
In film you don't necessarily see time sequences in chronological order (they can show Mustafa about to be killed, and then cut to what Ahmed was doing quarter of an hour before that).
1:21:32 This is why I love Safiye the most as Valide Sultana against everyone who acted the role in this series and the one before. They show her on human level, the others at moments like these when it is required to be passionate as a Valide Sultana which is basically a "mother" is to show sympathy to those like her or will potentially be like her. Even Hurrem was cruel when she was Valide Sultana to her counterparts just like Hafsa Sultan😏
Hurrem was never cruel to those who were loyal if she treated Nigar and Nurbanu and Gulnahal .... Badly was because they betrayed her it was Understandable look they would kill 4 of her children it was matter of life she had to be cruel to people who weren't loyal
Oh may god I took a long breath when sultan ran to save his little brother I tear up when little Mustafa sence saw what a cruel rule for your well being to kill someone instead of fight for their honor capability and honesty towards their people and throne......
I guess those harems operated on Stockholm syndrome mostly. Esepcially in this episode it's so absurd why Anastasia even smiles at Ahmed seconds after crying for her family
2:23:26. The Nani nani nursery song was the same that Hatice Sultana sang to mourn for her blonde baby boy whom she killed in her sleep suffocating him by accident in Suleyman series.... ahhhhh :(
Mały książę Mustafa to rewelacyjnie zagrana postać. Jest tak uroczy i niewinny. Scena egzekucji trzyma w napięciu. Dzieci w tym serialu są naprawdę piękne i znakomicie zagrane.
That bit where little Mustafa offered his executioner his only possession, the chestnuts he is so fond of, just BROKE me. It was such a child-like, innocent gesture, I can't stop crying!
I cried my lungs out while watching execution scene ....constantly praying that somehow execution will stop....ahhhh I can't bear it but that's harsh history
It's so hard to be an emperor if you have a soft heart, but those have heart like a rock of course so easy to them,,, That lil boy maybe he's only 5 but I'm amazed in his acting, even though I know it's only act but still he make me cry 😢,,, But I'm thinking is this really happened back then in ottoman empire? Is really the emperor spared his baby brother?
@@alfredawomi2340 Exactly. We don't have any evidence of Darwish doing all he says he did later, or if Kösem actually did all that and so on. However, sultans DID kill their brothers in the Ottoman dynasty
Mustafa and Ahmed were only a year apart in age and most likely the decision to spare Mustafa's life was a political one, encouraged by the council and all instead of because of Ahmed's kind heart
Safiye was right. Halime was mustafa’s misfortune. And no Halime, Safiye isn’t being cruel. You are because of your greediness. Also Mahifruz is an evil witch,
Yes, she really open the doors for the women. The Harrem existed long way back its just so happen once in a while a strong willed woman will be a concubine to the Sultan and will have influence over them. These women realized thr importance of a strong ruthless woman to the success of their sons. Hurrem got Nurbanu and Kosem chose Turhan. I feel Kosem is just a bit too much
Maybe because the next king was Selim (please cmiiw) and his life story less interesting? And his wife not powerful as Hurem or Kosem? Safiye's words implying that Selim wife, Nurbanu (cmiiw) indeed harsh but not as powerful as Hurem. So even Safiye treated slightly harsh in harem but she find a way to keep survive and succesfully become Valide Sultan. So maybe the story of Selim and Nurbanu won't as interesting as Hurem-Sulaeman or Kosem-Ahmed story. This only my guess.
@@yucerahmawati4430 why the story has to be centered around vaginas to begin with? The peak of the series was Ibrahim vs Hurrem (and basically all things involving him) the mahidevran rivarly early on was ok, then Sehzade Mustafa and then Beyazid, women fighting is the weakpoint of the series, if the kept going from Selim we could ahve interesting events centered around Sokoullou Mehmed Pashawho even served Murad as grand vizier and also have the woman part with Nurbanun and Safiye while Selim got drunk fought with his demons about Beyazid;s death not to mention that he had more sons than Murad and to be honest the best thing would be for them to go back when the Sultan were worthy
idk who but someone once said 'the only place where slaves can become queens is the harem'. it's what differentiates the ottomans and the English monarchs. You could only become an English 'queen' if you were born a princess or you were married into the royal family, which even then you must be of high authority. as for the ottomans, they take slaves and if the sultan loves a slave, as soon as she gives birth to son, she becomes a sultana. wowza der folks

That's what did it for me too. At what might be the end of his life and he was still being sweet

Me I do, from the other Magnificent Century series. I liked him a lot. As well as the young original Harram, Ibrahim Pasha, Sultan Suleiman, and Negal Kafa. I miss those actors.

Yeah, hurrem fight for her children, kosem end with greed of power.
@@sultanpacasum9754 soo true, hurrem didn't even let her children to think they can sit on the throne. She said "over my dead body"
The little Mustafa 😻😻🥰😍 so cute
She sees the painting of herself and realizes it's the reason she was kidnapped, then he comes over and asks her IF SHE LIKES IT???? She already told him she was abducted and wants to go back to her family, she probably wishes it had never been made. And then the dude's like "no I didn't give the order, my grandmother brought you here as a gift" yeah because that makes it so much better. He could at least pretend to be sorry, but he just tells her she can't ever escape. And this is supposed to be romantic? He asked if he was going to be cruel or just, I think he already answered his own question.

Tough scene to see Little Mustafa
What a great cute actor
OMG I can't watch it enough. Fantastic.
Safiye was right when she told Halime that she was Mustafa's misfortune
Seems like Every sehzade called mustafa has a stupid ambitious mother.

Kosem then raised them as her own
@@broke_person9664 mahfiruze only have one son and thats osman....Ahmed all in all children is 10..
omg very impressive scene.... this is the best part.....i cant stop crying while on my way to work😢😥 good job to the little boy mustafa and the king😇😍 and the mother of little boy...
I don't care, as long as he stopped mustafa's execution.
Teleportition technic lol
@@user-hl4et6by3s Mustafa does not die a child but as an old man he was set up but he was free

I thought that would only happens in Indian movies but I was wrong😂 do you want a serial continously going for days?
1:21:32 This is why I love Safiye the most as Valide Sultana against everyone who acted the role in this series and the one before. They show her on human level, the others at moments like these when it is required to be passionate as a Valide Sultana which is basically a "mother" is to show sympathy to those like her or will potentially be like her. Even Hurrem was cruel when she was Valide Sultana to her counterparts just like Hafsa Sultan😏
Halima Hatun deserves the cruelty in this scene, but she doesn't always shlw cruelty or shout to show power to her counterparts with no purpose😂
Hürrem was never a Valide sultan and Hürrem was cruel because she had to be.
Hurrem was never cruel to those who were loyal if she treated Nigar and Nurbanu and Gulnahal .... Badly was because they betrayed her it was Understandable look they would kill 4 of her children it was matter of life she had to be cruel to people who weren't loyal
When ahmed hugs mustafa😭😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️
Oh may god I took a long breath when sultan ran to save his little brother I tear up when little Mustafa sence saw what a cruel rule for your well being to kill someone instead of fight for their honor capability and honesty towards their people and throne......
I love the fact we are watching the jamasierees Train they were amazing
Shame on wild decision made in past .what a history .what a inhumanity .what type of god.
I guess those harems operated on Stockholm syndrome mostly. Esepcially in this episode it's so absurd why Anastasia even smiles at Ahmed seconds after crying for her family
My heart was ripped apart at the end. I am a mother that really got me close to home
I literally cried when mustafa cried .. literally both Mustafa has made me cried ( mustafa in hurrem and Mustafa in kosem ) ❤
2:23:26. The Nani nani nursery song was the same that Hatice Sultana sang to mourn for her blonde baby boy whom she killed in her sleep suffocating him by accident in Suleyman series.... ahhhhh :(
Now i understand,,,i start watching the episode i understand the situation of sultan halime
Always mostly the woman who first gives birth to Sultan child gets neglected.
Because it's old enough to pose s real threat to the throne
Mały książę Mustafa to rewelacyjnie zagrana postać. Jest tak uroczy i niewinny. Scena egzekucji trzyma w napięciu. Dzieci w tym serialu są naprawdę piękne i znakomicie zagrane.
🎉🎉🎉
That bit where little Mustafa offered his executioner his only possession, the chestnuts he is so fond of, just BROKE me. It was such a child-like, innocent gesture, I can't stop crying!
I cried my lungs out while watching execution scene ....constantly praying that somehow execution will stop....ahhhh I can't bear it but that's harsh history
In real history Ahmed did not execute his brother
All harem staff male and female act like thugs without an ounce of humanity in them ,including pasha's,.toughroughly revolting and in humane.
It's so hard to be an emperor if you have a soft heart, but those have heart like a rock of course so easy to them,,,
That lil boy maybe he's only 5 but I'm amazed in his acting, even though I know it's only act but still he make me cry 😢,,,
But I'm thinking is this really happened back then in ottoman empire? Is really the emperor spared his baby brother?
It's mixes of both true parts and scripted parts.
@@SubhaChugh yeah but he had his own kids and still let his brother live...
@@Cortesevasive but when Ahmed took the throne, he was only 13 and also didn't have any children which was why they let his brother live
Safiye was right. Halime was mustafa’s misfortune.
And no Halime, Safiye isn’t being cruel. You are because of your greediness.
Also Mahifruz is an evil witch,
The way she said mustapha's name reminded me so much of Mahi
It seems safiye is more elegant than hafsa
true
Well she certainly believes in more extravagance!
Hurrem was the most powerful Sultana of ottoman empire..then why safiye Sultana's lifestyle is more luxurious than Hurrem..😒😒
hurrem really opened the path for the powerful women in ottoman history.
Hurrem love Suleman not the power nor the wealth. She used her money to build and to do something that might help other people.
I feel Kosem is just a bit too much
Suleiman greatly expanded the empire. It became richer, under his rule. Although, it was less well governed later, the trappings of wealth increased.
I feel like Nurbanu was much stronger and while not the best person even Safiye and Kosem... Mainly cause their husbands (sultans) were duds
Omg my tears fell seeing mustafa in that kind of situation
Its heart breaking
I swear the reason my each episode is so long is because of all the slow motion they use 😂
I honestly wish they continued from where Magnificent century ended it would’ve been more interesting
Yes absolutely my thought as well 🤷
Maybe because the next king was Selim (please cmiiw) and his life story less interesting?
Heartbreaking to see little mustafa. Life surely would have been in everyday terror for the young ottoman Princes then.
Little prince Mustafa offering the executioners a chestnut, that seen is killing me.
idk who but someone once said 'the only place where slaves can become queens is the harem'. it's what differentiates the ottomans and the English monarchs. You could only become an English 'queen' if you were born a princess or you were married into the royal family, which even then you must be of high authority. as for the ottomans, they take slaves and if the sultan loves a slave, as soon as she gives birth to son, she becomes a sultana. wowza der folks
Little Mustafa's acting is too good....love this bby❤
It's so funny that they keep saying Amen the whole time and keep committing so much sin. 😅
how good acting the little boy can do 😭😭
The music in this show is beautiful :)
