MAY GOD'S BLESSINGS BE WITH YOU ALL ALWAYS.🙏🏾
I’m a Christian and I watch horror films! The big thing people need to watch out for is, is watching horror changing your everyday behavior? Is it affecting you spiritually and mentally? If it is I recommend you stop and pray! As believers we are covered by the blood of the lamb but that doesn’t mean act a fool and practice witchcraft or play with ouija boards, etc! Don’t practices those negative things! If horror starts to affect you then stop! You guys mentioned the killings that happen because someone watched a horror film… well there’s sick people in this fallen world we live in. Don’t blame the movies!
Thank you! Exactly! That's how I feel about it.
The closer I have come to Christ I naturally don’t want to watch films or shows that drive away the spirit. I think at the end of the day it’s important to ask whose you want to be. If Jesus Christ is who you want to follow I thinks it’s important to question what is going to help you find him. And seek after the things that bring the spirit.
so should we avoid all the horror-filled parts of the bible? like when god used a disaster movie flood to kill everything, or the plagues and the angel of death, when he burned s and g to the ground, the dude who got swallowed by a whale, people being mauled by lions, when jesus was tortured to death, satan and his minions in hell? if we're gonna get rid of all the nasty stuff we should be consistent about it.
I don't even watch horror movies but sometimes I have nightmares that are horror movie like I don't know why, but I try to pray these dreams away. I know it must be the devil trying to attack and scare me and prevent me from continuing to do the good things I'm doing and completing God's will for my life and those around me.
❤
But a film can simply be separate from your faith right? You can't divide ALL films in light and dark, who decides what you can and can't watch?what you're saying doesn't make sense
Thank you for saying this. This is exactly what I think about it. I separate things like this from my faith and just enjoy them for entertainment purposes.
When you said this guy saw a horror movie and afterwards he went back to his home and killed his family, he is very mentally ill when people do that kind of stuff
I would like to have a conversation with someone on here. I watch horror movies as a Christian. I feel like when I’m watching it I am acknowledging the evil and that the bad characters and events are bad. Isn’t that the point? I don’t like to watch things with magic or things that endorse doing bad things like witchcraft to get out of the situation but when I am watching a horror movie I am thinking of it as a normal person trying to escape the bad events of the movie. I know every Christian has different beliefs but I would like to hear others thoughts.
What I do know, the eye gate and ear gate are very important to protect. What we see, hear, think is what we become. We live our lives from the inside out. I would say watch things that are good, pleasing to the Lord.
My first encouragement is to pray and listen to hear what God has to say to you! With that said I’m a Christian who watches horror films and there’s no problem with it as long as you don’t practice any negative practices like witchcraft, ouija boards, etc! If watching horror films start to affect you spiritually, mentally, your behavior then I’d recommend you stop! But being spiritually mature and watching it cause you’re a fan and can handle it I don’t see a problem with it!
I highly recommend reading "How to fight evil: Lessons for the church on spiritual warfare from Bram Stokers Dracula" by Bronwyn M Gray of Liberty university. Can be found online.
Is this not the third time this has been posted??

why do you recommend it?
Omg I was JUST about to comment and ask you if you watch Vampire Diaries lol.
Do you feel the same about True Crime Documentaries?
Im not a huge fan of the horror genre and each to their own but where do you draw the line? If all stories had happy endings and nothing bad ever happened, it wouldn't be authentic. So many great stories explore the darker sides of humanity. They hold up a mirror to our own complexity as humans. They can teach you a lot about yourself and the people around you. You have talked on this subject many times now but i would like to know what you do watch. What you think is acceptable. There are plenty of dark things in the Bible. I assume they are there to teach us something so where is the line for you?
Good point. Also, they may not be horror, but CS Lewis and Tolkein used supernatural elements in Narnia and Lotr books etc.
No one should watch that, i AM not a religious person but spirituality do exist
I think as Christians its a choice im a Christian off faith but no i dont watch horror movies but again its a choice amen ✝️✝️✝️✝️🌹💪🇱🇷🇱🇷🔥🇦🇺🇦🇺✝️✝️✝️✝️🙃🙏🙏
