In French it is Vert de Vessie, which means the same thing. The pigment comes from some animal's bladder i think?? Unless its that one weird shroom with green powder

I relate with Adam! Usually my sketches end up bigger than intended. I start with a small circle for the head but as I work my way down somehow the body ends up bigger! By then it's just easier to resize the head than erase and redo the body
Curious about the pencil Adam is using. Looks really interesting. Steph needs a sketch book with maltimedia paper for just her swatches, so there all together and she can refer back to them whenever.

I think the streakiness of the marker comes from the paper? I've worked with regular alcohol markers on "marker paper" and the paper had the same smooth texture as yours... I think its designed to keep the ink from soaking through, so it just sits on the top and gets pushed around until you let it dry. It kind of means you have to put down a layer and wait until the alcohol dries off before you can add more layers. I think I would prefer to work with cardstock, even if the ink bleeds through, because I don't like to wait.
oooh the green screen is Fab! hey guys have you thought about doing your initial sketch and rubbing it out to barely visible, then laying in colour and then inking the outlines last? You can omit, include and add weight with the line work as required for light shade and depth. I'd love to see what you guys would produce trying this approach! in your old pigment marker video, you said maybe you’re just supposed to use a little bit of color and blend it out. maybe that would help? also, if you guys revisit any more old art supplies/challenges, it’d be fun to see your reactions to your old videos too!

Pigment markers 😍 Lachri Fine Art does amazing things with them on Yupo paper, and I REALLY want to try them, but I can't justify the price of enough markers AND the fancy paper right now. I've heard glossy photo printing paper is a good substitute for Yupe. Do you guys happen to have any around or access to some for cheap? Might be an interesting video to try those markers on it.
As a 3D modeller, I can testify that hands are really complicated. You can easily spend as much time creating the base for the hands as you did for the body as a whole.
@@mica4977 Ooh Blender is a nice one though (and free which is a big bonus). You should definitely try the sculpting in that program, I've heard it's really good actually.

I found packs of these at Ross, like a high street store for all kinds of clothes, furniture, journals, bathroom decor, shoes - I NEVER would have expected Winsor & Newton at Ross and I found THREE for about 4-6 USD each, and sadly the yellow frayed. It basically disintegrated, it was one of the strangest things I've ever experienced in my life. Weird impromptu review rant over but if they went ahead and discontinued pigment markers, I'm just glad I found the warm grey set

Those markers are meant to be used like watercolor markers. You add the amount of pigment you want and you spread it with water ;)
