My Coachmen Catalina calls for 100 ft. lbs per lug. Honestly, I set my torque wrench at 100 ft. lbs and it felt like I was going to snap off the stud. I backed it down to 90 ft. lbs and I'm happy with that. I do periodically check them from time to time. Never had any problems.
Could you tell me with your trailer level, measure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler, what is the height of that? Making sure I get the right drop/rise for my WD hitch.
Sorry for the late reply. Our camper was in our driveway which isn't level until this weekend when we went camping. When level, it measured 21.5" from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler. I hope that helps (and that I am not too late).
Yep, I am happy being at 95. I wish it was just labeled on the trailer. There is a notice about tightening to the manufacturer's specifications (100 ft. lbs. or noted).
@@thedroesslers I know someone at the Factory. I was told that Flagstaff/ Rockwood MONITORS TH-cam & F/B Group Pages pretty heavily for Suggestions, Modifications and New Ideas made by owners of their RVs. They use the new ideas as IMPROVEMENTS to the next year models. I mentioned to my friend about your idea of putting a sticker over the wheels on the side of the Trailers with Torque Values & Tire Pressures.
@@thedroesslers I got a confirmation that Torque Value & Tire Pressure will be posted on a sticker above the tire on the 2022 models. I was informed that's a question that is asked alot & they are taking your suggestion.
just got a torque wrench after taking a few trips in my new trailer. the logs seem super tight not much movement to get the click at 80 then went up to 110 same thing. Are they too tight? should I loosen then torque? thanks in advance
Maybe others can chime in too, but I have never considered loosening mine. It is very rare that any of my lug nuts move when I do this. I typically just get the click right away and move to the next one. Every once in a while one of them will turn a bit before clicking. I have started using the torque wrench for the brackets for my weight distribution hitch. Those nuts tend to move a little bit before clicking more often then the wheel lug nuts.
I’m a newbie AND a solo senior female. This was really helpful. So much to learn in how to be safe in my travel trailer. Thanks!

@@thedroesslers Thank you for your response! No worries on the timing. Very helpful videos/comments!
I inquired with the manufacturer and they informed me to torque lug nuts from a minimum of 95 to a maximum 110 ft lbs

This is awesome! That sticker is the perfect place - right where you need the information when you need it.
