MinGW is really heavy and the slow compilation time mostly depends on the power of your system i.e. the RAM, Processor, etc. Also the empty space is C Drive and what all other software’s you have on the system that is leading to slow loading issues.

This happened with many. Maybe the server mirror issue. Just wait for the packages to complete. It depends on your Internet Connection. Packages download from a server and then get installed on the system.
