R.L competes against a horse in the TV show 'That's Incredible' USA. Robert Lewis Osborn (born April 9, 1963), is a BMX rider. His father Bob Osborn started BMX Action magazine. He started the first Freestyling team with Bob Haro. He appeared on "That's Incredible!" in 1983, where he raced a horse. He appeared as a stunt rider in the 1986 movie "RAD". He was the first person to popularize freestyling (flatland) and the first person to use endorsements to become the first millionaire in the sport. He was endorsed by Haro, acs, General, Ame, and Redline. He founded Hammer Bodywear in 1988 and Bully Bikes in 1989. In 1991, he sold them to MCS in Florida. That's Incredible! is an American reality television show that aired on the ABC television network from 1980 to 1984. In the tradition of You Asked for It, Ripley's Believe It or Not! and Real People, the show featured people performing stunts and reenactments of allegedly paranormal events. The show also often featured people with unusual talents, such as speed-talker John Moschitta, Jr., who made his first national television appearance on the show, as well as scientific, medical, and technological breakthroughs such as the Taser and cryogenic corneal reshaping by lathe keratomileusis. The show's catchphrase said by one its hosts at the conclusion of a particularly amazing segment was the same as its title: "That's incredible!"

I think I was 13 when this episode came out, I was in junior high living in National City, CA. I was telling my dad this guy wasn't even a racer and he was a freestyler. My dad kept laughing and said it doesn't matter and this guys not going to beat a horse. I met him a few years later at a Red line show in San Diego county. He was the only Professional BMX freestyler I have ever met.

RL was a racer who turned to fresstyling. A true BMX Racer would be WAY faster.I remember me & all my BMX buddies talking about this show the next day.

I remember when this first aired on TV 📺 back in the early 80s. I begged my dad for a BMX bike having no idea how huge the sport would become and how it would evolve from racing to freestyle in just a couple years after this episode.

Put Stompin' Stu, Gregg Hill or Harry Leary in the mix lol...Being fair, they should have used a racer as opposed to a freestyler...Outcome would have been different..
