omg i HAVE to try this! i can notice a difference in timing just from watching the video. Im always waiting until the ball is coming at me to make a decision and i strike out swinging late a lot
@@Berzerker__84 you are a miracle worker hahah ive been playing the game for 3 years mostly on beginner and rookie for a challenge. Its totally changed my game my plate discipline actually went up from 31 and now on a 10 game hitting streak. This video for people like me icant thank you enough! Definitely subscribed. Really hope your channel blows up cos you got info in your head that no other creators have thought about
@@SnowyRains Thank you! I am glad I could help. That's what inspired me to become a content creator. I have learned also that the computer cheats alot on lower difficulties too. You would think it would be the other way around. Once again I am glad my video helped you. Keep the grind going.
@@sheldonhall1109 I’m assuming you had problems understanding the video? If so I hope this helps… I had to turn the hot zones off in the display settings so i could see the pitcher better. I also changed the batting controls to timing so i can just have to press the button at the right time, rookie difficulty also helps makes learning this easier. At the start you looking at the pitchers head cos he will be looking at you and when he turns his head to the side it means the pitch wind up is about to begin. At that point you switch your attention to the shoulder or arm of that he throws with figure out when the release point is. That dip of the shoulder is basically the release point. I take 1 or 2 pitches just to get used to when he releases. When it releases ya swing at it in the strike zone. Somehow your brain makes it alot easier to “just know” where the ball is going like its a subconscious thing. It feels like its all slowed down and you got more time to think and make the right decision to swing or not. Hard to explain but dont give up cos once you work it out it really changes the game.
I actually use peripheral vision to pci up the ball. I am looking at the arm slot area when the ball is being released. You can use peripheral vision if its easiest for you. If you choose to do that try staying focused on the pitchers head and you might catch the arm slot and release. in your peripheral. Depends on what hitting view your are in. If your are in a more distant view like strike zone 3 or a fisheye view you could use peripheral vision to track the ball. In those more distant hitting views you will see the arm release with peripheral while focusing more center or on pci. Hope this helps. If you are still having trouble let me know and I will help with any other tips I can provide.
@Berzerker__84 I can't use the the other batting zones. I use directional hitting. I suck at coordinating the pci on where to swing. I can't learn that, my dexterity isn't great. Pretty much suck at the game
Try looking at the front shoulder and mid wind up start shifting your focus over to the side of the pitcher's head on throwing arm side. You will see the front shoulder drop down and that is when the ball is going to be coming into the arm slot area to the side of the pitcher. Hopefully this helps.
@@sheldonhall1109 ok! I got you. I will make a video on how to track which pitch is being thrown aswell as more in depth on different methods to see and track the ball. I will try to get it out soon as I can.
in my opinion, focusing on the pitcher and watching on this areas you said makes your timing get off as your too focused on your tracking and you swing when you think the ball is going to be but by the time you find that location, your late. In MLB 24, you should be doing your best when your not thinking of these small mechanics many youtubers say.
You wanna see the pitch come out of the pitchers hand. Once you can see the ball, you can track the ball better. It’s the same methods for hitting in real life. Always jump on the fastballs and adjust to the off speed.
Glove hand shoulder first and when it drops Look at the arm slot which is to the throwing side of the pitcher and you will see the ball release there. Sorry to confuse you.
@Gumballiskewl The black cursor that I am aiming with to hit the ball? Thats called the PCI. It is found in your hitting settings. I have videos and short videos on my channel showing different pci settings.
You just find the release point where the pitchers releasing the ball like hitters in real life do. No reason to be looking at a head and a shoulder. Just find the release point and track the pitch.
It's not really complicated. Sometimes I have to remind myself of that. Just focus on the front shoulder or head and when the pitcher kicks his leg up and is halfway through the wind up start looking over to the throwing side area shoulder high and you will see the arm slot and pick up the ball
I will put out another video on how to read pitches, and track the ball. I may try to do that this weekend, so make sure you subscribe and turn on notifications to be sure you dont miss it.
This video alone has me batting completely better😭I was never able to square up sinkers. Just struggling on cutters now.
Nice to hear it has helped you.

@Berzerker__84 but how do you tell if it's a fast ball, curve, slider or what the pitch is, that's my hard part how do you know what type pitch it is

I just wish there was pci sensitivity you got .2 seconds to barelllllllly move the thumbstick so I just slam too much
Have you tried any thumbstick grips like kontrol freeks?
how do you get the tracking thing?

In real life a ton of pitchers focus on the pitchers cap before switching to the release point.. that's basic baseball mate
