    I’m a noob and have sucked at MLB23 so far. I watched a couple of other guy’s videos - one was a blowhard interested in hearing himself and selling merch and the other guy was ok. YOUR video and presentation style are perfect - you gave your tips and didn’t talk for 20 mins. Thanks and bunch…and my mother likes gingers… :)

    Your hitting tips literally helped me in a matter of seconds I used to always just spin my PCI around before the pitch I stopped and tried what you said and also tried the looking at pitchers hat to see the ball better, next two games I played popped the fuck off.

  • @LogicallyKnot
    @LogicallyKnot ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Nice tips. Patience is key. I like starting my PCI all the way up dead middle. For whatever reason it's hard for me to go up on the stick starting from center. Really hard for me to catch heat up in the zone like that. I have no issues slapping low in the zone either corner, but I'd rather hit a ball high in the zone, so I start my PCI there. Also not having that hard stop point in the middle keeps me from having the "why didn't my PCI move?" Problem. I also slowly drag down to the pitchers arm slot as he's winding up. This is kind of like a load shift for me to help me get on time and in rhythm. Subtle controlled movement with the stick on The Show is probably the hardest thing to do consistently on any game I've ever played, but if you can do it, it feels so different than when you were struggling trying to snap the stick in the direction you want to to go and sweating profusely. Also the only view settings I will play on are zone and zone 2. I usually play with zone, but if I'm having trouble picking up balls down and out of the zone, I will go to zone 2 until I can get my shit together. It's crazy that this game will have you having real issues that hitters actually have in baseball from time to time.

      I got so mad one day at how much I sucked I uninstalled the game. I sat down to bang out some moments and the 1st one I was doing I just could not get done. It was definitely timing and poor PCI placement work. I went to videos like my mans video right here, and have Kontrol Freaks and its so much better. I do the little movement in the middle and watch the ball out of the pitchers hand. I use Strike Zone 2 for preference, Ill try Strike Zone but I think I tried it and settled on 2. I think the next step is getting a monitor but am not sure how to set one up.

    Zoom camera isn’t too bad if you struggle with timing like I do, it allows me to see the hitters leg and judge when to swing. I’ve used strike zone before but always seem to do better with zoom. I also use a Elite Series 2 controller, not that it makes a difference but I get the longer thumbsticks, which allow more control of the pci. I’m not amazing at the game, but I’m decent. I have my moments, but I still enjoy the game.

    Flicking the PCI like that is a rhythm thing for me. I’ve always hit a lot better for whatever reason when I do it. And starting your PCI in a specific place is something I do as well. I’m a little confused as to your reasoning as you stated for your first two strikes you’re (generally) looking for specific locations so it wouldn’t matter if you set your PCI up and in a little because you aren’t swinging at anything else; 2 strikes makes perfect sense because you’re not looking for your pitch you’re looking to fight. Overall good video!

    Outlier was my nemesis last year and I have struggled since 21 to hit the 100mph+ fastballs. This year, I made the switch to strikzone from strikezone 2. I have been destroying fastballs and outlier has been no issue. However, the downside has been because strikezone doesn't show as much below the plate or outside the strikezone my whiff rate on backdoor sliders/cutters and low off speed has been terrible. Every off speed pitch looks like it will be a strike until it darts out of strikezone seemingly at last minute. Any advice? Your hat trick has been a big help

    • @EE-bg1de
      @EE-bg1de ปีที่แล้ว

      Go to practice mode against backdoor sliders, cutters outside the strike zone. 10 minutes before you play a game, will make a huge difference.

      usually what i do is just go into custom practice and just track the ball with my pci for 10-15 minutes. dont swing at all just work on seeing the ball and moving your thumb. usually subconsciously helps me with determining balls/strikes
