Another song from Sabaton I'd recommend you to listen to is "No Bullets Fly", but make sure to watch the animated story video. Not just the animated music video, but the story video

Welcome to the awesome world of historical metal! Sabaton is a band from Falun, Sweden. Their members are:
    Vocals - Joakim Brodén
    Guitar - Chris Rörland
Guitar - Tommy Johansson (who is also the vocalist in a power metal band called Majestica, also worth checking out)
    Bass - Pär Sundström
Drums - Hannes van Dahl (who, as many people will be eager to tell you, is married to Floor Jansen of Nightwish)
Most of Sabaton's songs are about real-life historical events, particularly those dealing with war, heroism, etc. The song you just heard, "Bismarck," is about a gigantic German battleship of the same name from WW2. Bismarck gained vast infamy when he (yes, Bismarck is one of very few ships to be referred to using masculine pronouns) destroyed the battle cruiser Hood (the radio clip from the beginning). Once the news got out, as many forces as possible were deployed to put an end to Bismarck once and for all. He was crippled when a torpedo struck his rudder, and the firefight grew relentless. Eventually Bismarck sank, although to this day it is unclear exactly what caused the sinking, whether it was from artillery damage or from the crew scuttling him.
Sabaton has loads more music to check out and for many I suggest the live versions; the energy at their live shows is FUCKING INSANE. So here are a few suggestions for future reactions:
"Uprising" (the Warsaw Uprising of 1944)
Official music video AND live version from Woodstock Poland
"Fields of Verdun" (the battle of Verdun)
    Official Music Video
"Night Witches" (Russian female war pilots)
    Animated story video
"En Livstid i Krig" (the Thirty Years' War)
Live version from The Great Tour in Gothenburg
NOTE: This song is in Swedish, so captions are highly recommended
And many many more! If you want to hear more of their recent music, check out "The Royal Guard" (there's also a Swedish version of this one; "Livgardet"), "Defense of Moscow," "Steel Commanders," and their most recent release, "Christmas Truce."
And finally, the band has a separate TH-cam page called Sabaton History where they, along with their good friend Indy Nidell, give lectures about the backstories behind each song, and how the songs themselves came to be.
Hope to see you reacting to more Sabaton!

My favourite part about this whole song is the line "They are bound by Iron and Blood" which to me, a history nerd, is such an amazing reference and most people miss it completely. The ship is named after Otto von Bismarck a German general and politician who was the main force behind the unification of the German nation. In one of his most famous speaches he said something among the lines of "The German nation shall be united by iron and blood". His way of politics is also called Iron and Blood (Blut und Eisen in German). The principles of this are achieving inner stability by measures taken to resolve foreign issues or simply said, unite the German nation by finding a common enemy of all German kingdoms

Ah, the rabbithole i've been waiting for.
Rapid fire Sabaton facts because god knows you're going to get a lot of these:
-historical songs with 100% accuracy from all sides with no bias
-yes the drummer Hannes is married to Floor Jansen
-you'd have to be the unluckiest man on earth to have one of their videos blocked for copyright, they are meant for sharing
-yes they do indeed slap live
-yes he is punching his knee over and over and over again
-no, you should never end a video from them even a few seconds early, they often include little facts at the end
-you should ABSOLUTELY check out their channel Sabaton History where they explain the backstories of the topics of their songs

Welcome down the rabbit hole of discovering Sabaton! Great to see your reaction! Their videos have really good quality, it's truly amazing. Make sure to watch their videos to the very end, otherwise you might miss something, which I have seen other reactors do, which would be a shame if you'd do. They sing about true historical war events. They also have another channel, Sabaton history, where you can learn the story and history behind the songs. Highly recommend it, you will learn a lot! A few recommendations to keep you going: Great War, Night witches (animated story video), Swedish pagans, Carolus Rex, Christmas truce, 82nd all the way, Uprising, Steel commanders, No bullets fly (animated story video), yeah the list is long....! Welcome to the Sabaton family!

Sabatonic Metal - History told to Metal. 10 of 11 albums are History based. [Metalizer was prior to their finding their History niche. 2 decades of work.
This vid was released 1 year after the last survivor of the Bismarck died. The office memorabilia and the compass were his. The fishing boat skipper is his son.

One inaccuracy I'd like to highlight in the video is that when the Swordfish were taking off from the deck of HMS Ark Royal far from it being a flat calm as in 3:39 the seas were mountainous, the ship's inclinometer showed that Ark Royal's bow was falling and rising by over 60ft between wave crests, meaning pilots had to accelerate at full power down a storm blasted heaving flight deck in a heavily laden aircraft as Ark Royal plunged into a watery canyon, timing their lift off point as she broached the following crest and before her deck dropped away once again into the chasm of the next trough, this was as well as flying their slow biplanes towards a spitting mountain of death whose full focus was set on their destruction. Canvas biplanes flown by incredibly brave young lads, who sought no personal recognition or glory for their contribution.
When people make the "outdated WW1 Swordfish" comments, just remember that no other carrier borne torpedo bomber aircraft of the time could take off and operate in such vile weather conditions, but would have had to remain safely lashed down in the carrier's "hangar deck".
None of this is meant to criticise the video as the production standards are excellent, and its spirit is bang on, but more to further highlight the courage of the young lads who undertook those flights.

Sabaton is a Swedish band that writes and sings about Actual historic events, battles, moments of heroism and wars.
They will be releasing their 10th studio album on March 4th 2022.
Nice thing about them is that their video's never blocked so it's TH-cam safe. (except for some Wacken video's that gets blocked by Wacken)
If you really want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these:
(These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use)
[live at Woodstock 2012]: Ghost Division, 40:1 and Uprising
[Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krig (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling
[Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama and The lost betallion
[Music Video's]: Christmas Truce, Steel Commanders, Defence of Moscow, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles, Uprising, Seven Pillars of wisdom & Cliffs of Gallipoli
[Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's)
    [Covers]: Kingdom Come [Offical video]
and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell.

soo, youre talking about great music video production and turned your head into metal stuff, so i highly recommend you to watch "Deutschland" from Rammstein, one of the best official music videos in my opinion. Maybe on the level of "chrismace truce" which was released a month ago by Sabaton, if you like to hear more epic shit :D

Sabbaton will never dissappoint in both music and visuals.
On a different note, I would recommend you to take a look at "Amelia" by the band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. Its a powerful story too in visuals, but be warned. The whole song and video is 25 min. long.
Oh, and on a ending note. I am one of the actors in it (not telling who I play), so my opinion is very biased.
    😉👍
