    My 03 ALH Jetta is incredible; in the video you said it's not as good as a 2020, but I would never ever trade my 370,000 mi ALH Jetta for anything newer than 2007.

      @@Leesvw I compression tested it before having the injection pump rebuilt and it has 505lbs of compression on all 4 cylinders and less than 4% leak down. Doesn't burn a drop of oil, my goal is 1,000,000 miles, and by the health of it right I'm on track to get there.

    Awesome build! To make this work from a junk yard motor- assuming I have to pull everything as far as the ecu harness or did you make most of it?

    • @Leesvw
      @Leesvw  ปีที่แล้ว

      I purchased an ecu and harness from s-pautomotive.com hes got everything you need for this swap. All you need is a good motor if you don’t want to get it from him.

    The radiator is awesome! How does it preform? Does it heat soak? Could you do multiple pulls? Looks like you have enough room for a condenser up front!!

    • @Leesvw
      @Leesvw  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It works great. I haven’t run it in the dead of summer yet. To tell if it heat soaks. I can multiple pulls until I blew it up lol. I have a condenser up front. Just need to do the rest of the AC parts.

    • @mxamumt

    You should try the mk3 tdi ctn transmission. I think those gears would be better suited for your 13” wheels vrs the factory mk4 one with 15” taller tire setup.

    • @Leesvw
      @Leesvw  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How do I tell what trans I have? Mine is from a tdi. Also I’m running 15” wheels.

    • @rabbitgti652
      @rabbitgti652 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Leesvw I’m guessing it came from your doner car. There should be a 3 letter code on the top part of the transmission. It’s like a small flat area 1”x2”. Then you can just google Vw tranny codes and you’ll find your transmission. Sounds like it was reving high on the freeway in your video.

    • @Leesvw
      @Leesvw  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey @rabbitgti652 I finally looked at the trans. I have a EUH code trans. I’m going to start looking into it now.

    what did you use for piping from the turbo to the intercooler? I'm stumped.

    • @Leesvw
      @Leesvw  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just rubber turbo piping and aluminum. You can find it on Amazon or cartek.

  • @jimlee7317

    You didn't mention what happened to the engine at the end did it really blow up? You have any idea what happened?

    • @Leesvw
      @Leesvw  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rod came off the crank and made a hole in the block. I don’t know why it happened. The engine is still sitting on the stand. I haven’t torn into it yet. I suspect it was my right foot that caused it.

    • @jimlee7317
      @jimlee7317 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LeesvwI would love to know what I could do to keep that from happening. Revving high? What boost were you running? I hope I'm not asking too many questions.

    • @Leesvw
      @Leesvw  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not to many questions. It’s all good. I don’t have a boost gauge but I’m running the vnt 17 turbo and a stage 4 Malone tune with .216 injectors. I did a burnout the day before and I think I over did it.

      Sorry it took so long to reply. I took my belt out and soaked it in soapy water for a bit. Then agitated it in the water pulled it out and let it dry overnight. Then I sprayed the belt with a furniture polish like endust or pledge. Works perfect now. You reminded me I need to do the rest of the belts in the car.
