    Awesome vids I’ve watched them all! In the process of bringing an 84’ rabbit 1.6td back to life and saw how you had that sweet looking dash… do you make that or is that something I can purchase somewhere!? Keep the vids comin!

    80 is solid for the 1.6l td. The 1z/AHU 1.9l tdi makes about 90 stock! So not too shabby at all for a car that weighs nothing

      I mean. A 1.6td made like 70hp new…
      Stock.
      An ahu with a Mk4 turbo and now we’re talking.
      Bolts in like stock.
      Except you’re making 70hp at 1500rpm
      And easily making 150hp with stock reliability. .

    on my 1.6D without turbo factory factory engine 40kw, I put a 1.9AAZ engine head that I had to modify so that it could fit on that block and turbo GT2052V AND FACTORY BOSCH PUMP turned on max fuel, it ran like crazy over 6000rpm (second gear 100km/h) and at 3.5 bar pressure, the turbo's head gasket broke (paper) and then I reduced it to 2.5 bar and drove like that for 8 months at full throttle every day and then the disaster happened on the oil pump cam and now I'm doing the whole general job adding sprinklers to lubricate the piston and oil cooling, conversion to metal head gasket and engine bearings from 1.9tdi and I will drive at 4.0 bar turbo pressure and element in bosch pump 12mm and videos are coming soon my advice mate, just give as much air and fuel as possible and that's it, no special parts

    Do you have any pump mods done? You should be able to break 100whp easily with out any propane

    • @trev0rbr
      @trev0rbr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What ever happened was probably because of the propane, it can cause pinging and preignition its really not a good power adder, stock rods can easily handle the power you're making there. You have a good setup as long as you have a good pump or tune your pump well you should be able to make a lot more than 100whp but if you're going over 125whp I'd recommend a bigger pump head 10mm or 11mm and 150-175whp would be easy then too. With your turbo and intercooler it's possible and its been done many times

    • @OliverFetter
      @OliverFetter  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@trev0rbr The pump is modified (Giles) - no gov, swapped diaphram pin, etc. I've run into the issue of only being able to turn the fueling up so much before idle RPM is to the moon - curious what your thoughts are there. Certainly there could be more fuel during a heavy pull & more power as a result.

    • @trev0rbr
      @trev0rbr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OliverFetter how much boost are you running and how do your egt's look? A Giles pump should be giving you plenty of fuel. If you run out of idle adjustment you can reindex the throttle lever on the throttle shaft. But I don't think that's your problem because the giles pump should be calibrated pretty well already.

    • @OliverFetter
      @OliverFetter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I can tell ~5k rpm is a good ceiling for the valve train not exploding. We took these pulls to about 4200. Although you could rev higher these motors make peak hp somewhere around 3800-4000rpm.

    • @OliverFetter
      @OliverFetter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! There's really no kit - your best bet is finding a 1.6TD motor / acessories / scrap motor and combining it with a regular 1.6! It's a bit of a piecing together.

    Definitely upgrade to a TDI, get like a 1Z or something so you can reuse your mechanical pump. I'm thinking you can't use a 17mm shaft pump on a ALH but I'm not 100% sure.

    • @trev0rbr
      @trev0rbr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use that shaft but it'd be easier to get a whole other pump because idi pumps are really different

    Hi it's me again, I bought an audi fox coup somebody installed a 1.6 turbo quantum engine in stainless exhaust but everything else is stock.
    Got. My rock auto cart full of odds n ends.
    The used vw sarejust too expensive. Car is orange and I've got classic spectrum. Recaro seats and cloth for the back seat.
    Body has 123k miles
    Still has a factory brass radiator. Going to have to red kote the fueltank and have a set of snowflake wheels for it.
    The fun of a vw coup with those audi circles without the vintage vw cult following price.
    Those new orange 2022 audis are like 129 grand.
