Could you demonstrate pinching back the new leaves? I am so thrilled at any sign of new growth, I hate to be nipping it in the bud! A video on just that topic with a variety of plants would be most welcome, thank you.

Found one of these on clearance with no label and didn't know what it was. Definitely doesn't like alot of sun. I put it out in the rain and forgot about it. Only 4 hours in FL sun and it was suffering. Gave it a misting and some light fish fertilizer water and it bounced back. It seems to have been struggling even before that though and I'm starting to think it is the potting soil. Unfortunately the bag potting soil you buy nowadays just seems to be fluffy pulped wood that retains water too well. Going to replant in a homemade loam mix of compost and sand. Happy to find out it's a shade plant. Been looking for things for the shady side of the house. Great video. Much appreciated

Just bought one last week. It’s my 4th plant to add to my collection. I’m excited to see how this plant turns out. I definitely see what you mean about low light. I’m looking for a nice plant stand to put in my room since it’s the brightest room in my apartment.

"Nerve plants were discovered by an English gardener" LOL. Indigenous communities had been using these plants for centuries before European "discovered" them.

I inherited this plant from the previous unit secretary at my job. I'm going to definitely take this advice to heart. I wonder if spraying it during the day with a mister would help with the humidity since its in a hospital?

I have pink veins fittonia plants. I have a couple in a terrarium and one of them started producing roots above the soil.I have a sprout that is green. It has the same shape and the veins look the same, but it is solid green.

I have 2 in a vivarium for a crested gecko and they are struggling badly. I think when I water them the top layer of soil soaks up all the water and hardly any makes it down to the roots, however, my drainage layer has a significant amount of standing water. Idk. I've never worked with a soil like this ABG type mixture.

Because it needs humidity is it a good idea to keep it as a bathroom plant so it gets the humidity from your showers and stuff

Only if the bathroom has a window or a grow light.

I guess my ten dollar vaporizer and my watering schedule is perfect for mine. I am an outdoor gardener never really had live plants inside. Honestly I just take care of it like my plants outside like all my others check everyday if it's not needed leave it if so water it pretty simple like with all plants. Oh I did notice when I watered it with rice water it grew. I fertilized it when I first brought it home but I didn't notice a huge growth with the rice water I did.

if the tip of the leaves turn brown check under the leaves because it might be aphids
