Martian Chess is a 2-4 player game that uses Icehouse pieces, requiring one stash per player, and a chessboard. It was one of the games included in Icehouse: The Martian Chess Set and Pyramid Arcade.
Much like its namesake, Martian Chess is a game of capturing pieces. Like Chess, Martian Chess is turn based, and played on a chessboard. In both games, players move and capture individual pieces, and each type of piece has distinct moving rules.
However, Martian Chess differs from Chess in critical ways:
Piece ownership is determined not by color but by location. Instead of capturing a specific piece, winning is determined by points, making it possible to force the end of the game and still win with no pieces left in that player's control.
Lastly, Martian Chess easily supports 4 players as well as two, and can also be played with 3, 5 or 6 players if you use geomorphic chessboard sections; see this photo for an example.

I realized we allowed a mistake in the rules, in the first game my brother cancelled out my move twice, and you can’t do that, in other words, if I move a piece into his area, he can’t return my piece exactly to where it came from.

I was gonna say that, but thumbs up for pointing it out

I've recently learned about these pyramid games and they're really good fun! Personally, my favourite is Homeworlds! I bought a box of it, and you can play martian chess with it as well, just need half a chess board
Also, love your chill music choice for the background, it's great for videos like this - far too many board game videos are just silent

10:07 illegal move, you can't move a piece moved to your side on a previous turn, to the same spot

There are 2 solo games in the Pyramid Arcade rulebook. Verticality, which is basically a dexterity game stacking pyramids and playing cards, and Color Wheel, which is quite an interesting puzzle game. There are several puzzle variants of Volcano you can play as well, although the rules for the solo variant aren't included in the rulebook.

9:55 I'm pretty sure your brother broke a rule here. If your piece crosses to the other side, you opponent cannot place that piece in its original location the next move.
