Photographing Birds - The beautiful Marsh Harriers

- So this week I headed out to RSPB Leighton Moss as I have not visited this local reserve of mine for a few weeks now, and I also needed to get this video created and uploaded as I am off tomorrow again today to photograph the puffins hopefully and also with any luck spend some time with some amazing authors on the shorelines of Mull.
So I went off to Leighton Moss with no expectations and no big ideas I just decided to go up and spend the day walking around that RSPB nature reserve, on first inspection and after a few hours it was quite obvious that everything was in full growth and that summer was truly here with the reeds being as tall as myself and all the birds hiding well within the canopy of the trees and in the Reed beds along the path.
After a few hours I headed off down to one of the hides where I would spend the rest of the afternoon photographing Marsh Harriers and their juvenile chicks flying together, catching prey as the mother flew back with various kills and handing them over to the chicks in flight made for some spectacular photographs, photographing these marsh harrier's effortlessly gliding through the sky chasing one another and bringing back food for the young juvenile marsh harrier's.
A fantastic day photographing birds at the RSPB Leighton Moss nature reserve I highly recommend going in the next week or two just to witness the spectacle of these marsh Harrier and the juveniles taking food from their parents, a fantastic day with some great video and photos to take home.

Hi Ashley, it was a real pleasure meeting you at Leighton Moss today. I can't wait to see your osprey images. You have a great channel here. Philip
Cheers Philip, likewise nice to meet you, and great chatting whilst watching the osprey. 👍
I love the shots of the Harriers with the Coot chick. Nice film.
Superb footage and images. Really enjoyed watching this!
Nice some great shots 👍
Stunning footage of the Marsh Harriers 👏
Great video once again. As you where saying most places very overgrown at the moment at my local Reserve RSPB Lakenheath reeds are over my Head to get shots of the Marsh Harriers there. Hope to go to Mull early September after the School Holiday. Good luck with your trip to Mull look forward to seeing the results of that trip.
Another great video mate! Was a pleasure getting to meet you at the wedding last weekend!
More great photos and video Ashley, that Grizedale hide seems to produce good opportunities for photography this time of year.
Beautiful video, we both loved it Ash.
Superb, Ash.. I bet you were pleased with those flight shots. Keep up the great work!! 👏👍
Yeh great to see and capture, had an amazing day thanks Russ 👍
Dreadful music to prevent us from hearing the sounds of nature!
HI @adriansandry2783 many thanks for the comment, and noted, there was no sound from the birds just people talking in the hide and the wind, many thanks have a great day 😀
