The trade pickups have arrived - A few big cards for the collection

- I recently traded a good quantity (32 to be exact) of great cards to two dealers that were amazing to deal with in the past. This transaction was just as excellent. The cards sent out resulted in 5 cards back to the collection. In my world, these 5 cards are all pretty big with 3 of them being definitely top tier of my collection. Always curious, what do you consider to be a high end card?

Those are some epic pickups. I love the Aaron and Schmidt! Have never seen that Aaron. I’ve been wanting a nice 52 mays as well. Love the colors on the Dimaggio, that’s one of my favorite cards of him in addition to his 49 leaf. I think all in all you acquired some real gems!

Great cards, thanks for sharing! Congrats on the awesome pickups! Love the 52 Mays. I've bid on a few of Lake Hank Aaron cards at some auction houses but never won, really neat card especially not being an oversized thing etc... Hope my encouragement to move some of your extras and our trades was a catalyst. Saves cash in the long run from not purchasing those in the future.
@OC-MC_Joe for sure, Joey! Definitely motivation to move on from duplicates and into some big cards that make for an even better overall collection. The Aaron may be one of the worst of the 70 graded, but very happy to have one at all.
Whew, that Schmidty pre-rookie! I LOVE these kinds of trades and will often go in people's favor if they are taking my extras for some wants. Especially trading up! You did great and it was awesome to see that video with the results this morning. I'm always watching your videos first thing and getting to the comments much later. Very specific reasons for all of that but if I speak with you offline someday I'll explain. Let's say the timing of your vids is convenient right now so thank you my friend! When I finally picked my 72 Puerto Rican Mike Schmidt sticker late last year, it quickly became a favorite in my Schmitty focus along side w/ Johnny Pro & ‘73 OPC . I also agree how neat his cards are without the Tom Selleck mustache. I’m hoping to get a few of mine autographed at a Philly show at a Philly Show.

Those are awesome cards. Congratulations! I'd never seen that Aaron before - really cool. I think you did well in your trades. You got some rare and iconic cards. To your question in the description, I consider a high end card anything over $500. I've only got a few in my collection and to me, that's a lot to spend on an old piece of cardboard. But if you'd have asked me a couple years ago, that number would have been lower. As my collection has grown, that's gone up.
@MarksDodgersCards I agree, I think it's all relative and will change in time. I agree, a few hundred and up is where I probably fall. Doesn't mean I don't have several over the threshold, but it is a good amount to drop on a single card. Thanks, Mark, talk soon.
