I think you guys should spend the very first few nights in Strawtop Cottage, as you’ve put so much hard work getting it ready and enjoy it before you open it to the public 👌❤️xx
Wow Josie the garden is looking simply beautiful, whenever Charlie’ starts explaining something, I always wait for him to say “it’s a game changer” and he didn’t disappoint, he’s so cute , sorry you had a challenging day, your both so lovely and the fur babies are soooo cute ❤️
When Charlie picked up Dickens in the gym and he gave you that look like “mummy help me, daddy’s holding me like a baby in front of my fans and it’s embarrassing” 😆 he’s just the cutest cheekiest little pup!
Love the Bergamotte (Sicilian Lemon), but careful with the mold! My husband who is a doctor just watched this sequence of your video with me and he said never to use the rest of partly moldy fruit! You have to throw away the complete fruit as the mold is just the surface and mycelia threads are in the entire fruit! Love what you are doing with the garden!
@@rach5516 No, unfortunately not! You can imagine this like a jelly fish. The round part would be the visible mold and the threads would be comparable but just invisible to our eye. In cheeses it does not matter according to my husband, but fruit, jams etc. it does.
I don’t believe it - you went for a massage with Sally on Monday? So did I! At 1.45! AND you were at The Double Red Duke over the weekend and must have passed my house! It’s like one of those ‘sliding doors’ films where people keep just missing each other! 🤣 Maybe one of these days we’ll collide which would be lovely as it would be so nice to meet you! 😊
The church bells in the background made my day. I spent Christmas 2019 in Australia and the bells were uplifting and beautiful. I miss them here in Texas.
And I surely need the Nicholsons to help me with my garden design and execution ! I guess I don’t need to work out as my multiple hours of digging every day is keeping me in shape! Josie and Charlie really don’t need to go to all those Cotswolds restaurants and pubs because they have everything at their well designed house , with gorgeous botanical gardens, gym, shed and pond. How exciting they got to design everything to suit their taste and lifestyle. 🇨🇦❤️
That’s the downside of law of attraction for you Josie ! One problem becomes 2, becomes 3.......and on you go 😂🥰 but love how you get out of that so quickly with appreciation, and how apt for the lemon basket, like the universe sent that right to you at the right time! Watching your videos raises every positive emotion in me and gives me all the hope! 🥰
Josie, you have inspired me to give some love to my neglected garden , which I didn’t have time for for several years due to me studying, working full time and having a family as well. While watching your videos I suddenly remembered how much I enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and vegetables and watching them grow. Home is where your heart is and my garden is a big part of it. So thank you for reminding me about one of the pleasures in life 🏡🌹🌸🌺🌷🌻🌼
I really like the wool carpet you chose, but I do think I prefer the chevron only because I imagine your furnishing will have a soft, rounded look and the geometric pattern might give the room more structure.
Loving your property in spring. What are your plans for the pond and water feature? With all the new trees and landscaping, having the sound and movement of water will be absolutely magical. ✨
Josie just a tip, when Americans search for a place to stay, we don’t typically use the word “accommodation.” We’re more likely to say (in the case of the type of property Strawtop Cottage is) “rental home” or “vacation home.” Just in case that’s helpful when you’re doing SEO or tags or something like that!
Josie, you are more positive and cheary on your worst day than most of the people I know on their best day🙏🏻❤️🌹. The gym is amazing. Love that weight rack. That shed is adorable. It would be a neat playhouse for a little girl.😊 You always seem to handle life with such grace. Hugs your way. Hope the remaining part of the day went more peaceful.💖 499K? 500K soon I hope 👏🤗
Some days are just completely rubbish.. but you did well I end up doing my rain dance..or as my Mum would say have a tantrum. But I'm only watching channels I feel give me something good 😊, inspiration ✅, happiness ✅, fur babies ✅, and lovely people ✅. Since weeding my channel list , I'm feeling much more relaxed, even though we don't have a garden I get all the nice feelings as if we did. You work so hard and I wanted to say thank you. I planted quite a few containers of Impatiens (they’re popular annuals used for color.....don’t know what you call them).....and some little critter literally ate them all! I couldn’t believe it.....it could be a bunny or a chipmunk.......back to the garden center I go. Everything is looking so lovely in the garden......My husband’s shed is quite neatly kept....I’m sure Charlie will succeed in doing so as well.
I have so far made 3 litres of lemon squash because they are literally falling off the tree in my garden (Cyprus). 500 grams sugar dissolved in 200ml water - cooled - then added to 500ml lemon juice. I realise it is a lot of sugar but you need very little in a glass - then diluted with cold water.
I think you should use your wooden Pandora box in your shed into a planter, keep the lid open , line it with black liner and use it by the back door for herbs when you don’t want to have to go to one of your raised beds when raining etc , how boujie would have look.
Josie ,every time something goes wrong ,you always say how blessed you are with what you have . I so admire & respect you for that. Thank you for being YOU . Have a lovely day !
Josie, you really suit the yellow gingham dress. It looks so fresh and youthful on you. I have a yellow gingham dress that I bought a couple of years ago and can’t wait to wear it again this summer. ☀️
I love hearing how real you are, feeling the frustration of the day but remembering it will be fine in the end. I think there is something to say about feeling the moments of frustration then moving on. You are an encouragement to me Josie.
I expect you've already visited, but if not, I can recommend the garden centre at Burford, Oxfordshire. Also, don't let you radishes get too old, or they will be super peppery. Thank you for the vlog - lovely to see the garden progressing.
The house and cottage are becoming even more lovely each vlog. Sometimes my earrings are stubborn and I use either peroxide or alcohol and massage the area. It seems to help with inserting my earrings Josie.

Hello! Love your channel!! 💖😊. Yet, I wanted to quickly mention something about the magnolia trees, before you decide on a definite location. If they’re anything like the ones we have here in Texas, their roots could possibly be an issue with the foundation and/or plumbing when planted too closely to your home. Just something to maybe double-check on. Might just want to plant them a bit further away. Btw, everything looks so very beautiful! 💖

I finally did my first self tan! Wow, it was so easy, that you for demonstrating and encouraging me to do i I have the same problems out of my ears too sometimes, once I poked another hole, yes, it hurt! Lol wished I had tried another pair too.
As I have been researching all of these beautiful flowering and blossoming trees, it seems like they all originated from China or Japan. Can't imagine captivating it will look over there where there are probably alot more of these beautiful plants.
I have had many a day like yours Josie! But I love how u turned it around and became so grateful for the lemon basket instead of wallowing... something I need to do better at... I got “the secret” and am so intrigued to do this but gosh it’s hard when your other half is a doomsday person!!! But I’m determined! Those pubs look fantastic and the thatching is so fascinating... I heard it lasts for 50 years? Strawtop is going to b Gorg... I know there r delays but it is for a reason! Oh the trees an lawn r stunning... loving your first produce! Saw the blue prints for the carriage house land scape!! So exciting... is the pond faze 4 or 5?? I so wish we had wonderful ppl like the Nicholson chaps! So glad Charlie is feeling better! The boys r looking so lovely although the escape artists that they are make me nervous ... chicken wire all around the hedges!! An hopefully a gate! Gosh I look so forward to your vlogs! Hugs from Texas!
Wonderful vlog as usual Josie. Your garden is a dream. It is going to look phenomenal in the summer ....and the gym ....you must be so pleased with it ....have everything envy lol xx 😍🥰
Now that things are opening up economically, there are shortages of equipment, material, workers etc. and prices go up. Probably temporary but annoying none the less.
Dear Josie, at 22.19, you showed a cherry blossom tree. Could you please tell me which variety- it looks stunning and similar to crab apple trees. Thank you 😊

As I have been researching all of these beautiful flowering and blossoming trees, it seems like they all originated from China or Japan. Can't imagine captivating it will look over there where there are probably alot more of these beautiful plants.

Thatching has to be done every 20/30 years really - once it gets too thin the water can get in and damage your property!

Now that things are opening up economically, there are shortages of equipment, material, workers etc. and prices go up. Probably temporary but annoying none the less.
Absolutely love your sign!
