I love your ability to take more commercially accessible “generic” pieces such as your average sectional and make it feel lux by procuring the right accessories to surround the piece ! It can take a living from dowdy to absolutely chic ! I would’ve loved to have seen you show them around the room. Looking forward to more renovations and hopefully your own decorating show on tv 👏🏼👏🏼

I love the room. the flowers that you choose for the vessel on the table- completely took my breath away. The color of the flowers with the sofa is nothing I would have expected. A very small detail - but man, it just made it all sing. Incredible ! You have the magic touch Arvin. Wow.
I appreciate that there is a space for where the TV would go but wish you would have actually put the TV in and styled it with how the room will really be used and not some fantasy of a space. That includes adding back a few family photos, their chatchkes, etc. It feels like it is easier to style a space for social media than to do it for the way people will really live. You are so talented--you can make reality look good!
Agreed! Also this couple definitely needed a TON more storage based on the way they live. All that clutter needs to go somewhere. Everything looks beautiful, but I wish the pieces had both form and function. That’s my design challenge in my home and I would have loved to see more realistic makeovers!

great! the sideboard is a stunner. once you cleaned out the room suddenly the architecture and bones of the room could be seen. i think we all have stuff around for convenience and then it becomes overwhelming, like shoes at the door, huge huge sofas that are practically beds. fine if you have a mud room, or a separate den room, but with one living room in a townhouse, there has to be some bit of order and formality. it was really a nice and quite adequate space, it just needed to mature.
Wow! Alvin, what a transformation! It now looks very elegant and simple, yet beautifully designed, more of a minimalist look. Love, love the color of the sectional and the accent pieces really blend well together.
Objects speak when you’re mixing objects you have to understand what each one is saying they have to complement and deliver the message that you are saying in your design DESIGNER ❤️
