We visited Manjolai Estate on mid June 2024.
Driving in the hills are very changeling due to narrow & broken roads. there is no such restrictions that only SUVs can go we took our Renault Kwid and it managed to climb the hill. But you have many restrictions on the Hills. Please be present at Manimuthutharu Dam check post at 7.15am itself to get the tickets. Entry fees will be 950 and per head its 50rs and per camera its 50rs. Please avoid plastic covers as it will be throw away while checking.
Dont stop in-between as it will be difficult for upcoming vehicles. KINDLY DRIVE ONLY YOU ARE EXPEREIENCED. BIKES ARE NOT ALLOWED. LATEST UPDATE EVEN THE BUS SERVICE HAS BEEN STOPPED. so your only option is commercial cars or personal cars. This place is 200% based on climate if the climate is hot it is totally waste. please plan accordingly. you will be allowed till Kakachi. if you want to go beyond that you have to book rooms in Uthu. only 3-4 rooms are there so kindly book in advance. and returning time is 5pm.
