I discovered Chonny's skits through friends back in 2011. He influenced so much of my way of speaking and has made me laugh so hard over the years! I absolutely love the way he writes his jokes to the point where it's the gold standard for me. I think I've watched all the videos across all the channels. I also got the chance to meet the both of you at madman 2018! Such an amazing experience seeing the Zero two cosplay and couldn't believe how tall Chonny was. Dalena was so nice and Chonny was just as fun as I imagined him to be 😂
The vlogs are amazing aswell. It doesnt matter to me whether you guys are at home or travelling because the videos are *always* entertaining.

Congrats John, here's to many more years on YT and to 1mil subs on here! Can we just give props to Tom though, like every-time he came on screen I cracked up, love your videos with him. He really is a gem of a friend. So the first video I ever watched of John was definitely one of the early ones with his sister and family parodies, and I always checked in even over the years, even if I don't watch all the videos. But I always come back to them. I enjoyed your covid content even though you couldn't travel. But I always enjoy your travel vlogs, they are my fave travel vlogs on the internet because you guys are just so cute and genuine and you do stuff I would do (like go to Japan and get KFC once and a while, lol). Been here since the early days around 2014 when I was in primary school, now I'm in the second year of uni. Also being an Asian Australian, it was fun to watch the videos ragging on Aussies and the cultural differences. I would always watch Two and a half asian show with my sister, the kpop videos were hilarious and Dalena is a sweetheart! I'm so glad you guys are still on youtube and enjoying yourself! as a canadian born chinese who accidentally stumbled upon chon’s videos in ELEMENTARY (i really shouldn’t have been watching these videos lmao), i to this day respect and adore his work and personality. it saddens me when everyone talks abt “og asian youtubers” and only mention nigahiga and others, but rarely, if ever, chonny! ofc all the others were great but chon has always been my favourite creator, so i wished more people talked about him! i find it funny that he consistently posts 1 skit every decade and still keeps the same vibes as all those years ago hahaha i just love that he never truly grew up and kept being himself even now and in a relationship. keep being you man, hope you have many healthy and happy years to come :)

Yep he’s an OG. I remember watching his videos in high school and my early 20’s when he would do skits like 2008/2009. So crazy! I remember it was like when 2NE1 first debuted, and he would do content with ShimmyCocoPuffs and Bubzbeauty during those days. Seriously I think he’s the ONLY TH-camr from back then that I still watch to this day or keep up with in any way.
As to what you were saying about holding himself back, I can super related. I like to keep up with astrology and we were born the exact same day so I know he has his Saturn, sun, and north node in the same spot and that can be so hard, restrictive, and a feeling of limitation. 2010 I Got introduced to John by my cousins and the first video I ever watch the first of my crazy sister and ever since then I still been watching I watched all the old ones and I still watch to this day. Currently 22 and always loves the videos he makes.
