Remembered when you came to NYC for food tour. If I knew you had such deep Vietnamese roots would've advised you to visit Falls Church, Virginia in the state where there is a large Vietnamese community too with delicious food. Thanks for this terrific tour and intro to family.

Been following you guys for ages and this is my first time commenting. As a first generation aussie with all my family back in regional China this video was super relatable. From connecting to aunties by them teaching us how to peel fruit to seeing all the uncles red from head to neck from beer and their own homemade alcohol. The multigeneration homes, the memories old and new, seeing parents being so happy in their element. This is going to be a fantastic series not only for your fans but for you and your family present and future to look back on!
Chonny's dad is a legend. While the mom is still being shy, the dad just fits right in
When you both look back on this in your old age, you'll remember these trips with your parents. Not always easy to travel with, but I've done a few big trips overseas with my mum that I don't regret for a minute, particularly now she's getting older, and I realise my time left with her and my father is finite. It makes me cry just thinking about it.

The chaos of all the relatives yelling and hollering reminds me of my own family ahaha 🇰🇭 seeing Dalena reunite with her distant relatives had me a bit emotional, I haven’t been back to my homeland in 18 years!
Your dad looks like such a sweet soul John, so sweet and just makes me smile when looking at him. I teared up seeing Dalena say hi to her family, she strong for not crying haha. And John saying dog in Vietnamese had me laughing so much haha

It’s so nice to watch you guys get to do this with them! I wanted to go with my dad back to Mexico to see where he grew up but he died from cancer before I had a chance to. Family is so important ❤

I just got back from visiting my family in Vietnam a couple of months ago and watching this brings back so many memories. It’s definitely feels different after a couple of years, so many things changes but the way of life is still the same

This video reminds me so much of my trip to India earlier this year in April. I’m a first gen American and going back in over 10 years showed me how much they value family and community in Asia. I did almost everything you guys did 😂 reunited with cousins uncles and aunties, saw my mom in her element with her relatives, ate the local foods, visited a temple in a huge van fitting my whole family for my grandma, “playing” with the stray dogs,… even that part about the rice paddies/farm land being turned into infrastructure was brought up in my visit. A very humbling and wholesome trip for sure! Hope you guys had a blast!

Funny how African, Asian and Eastern Europan culture's are literally the same when two young adults are planning on getting married and both families have to meet and talk and get to know each other and plan.
