Jez was scary. I was really young when I saw him on corrie and my god he scared me. Complete psycho. He did his part well. I heard he’s such a friendly and kind person in real life.
Yeah I was a kid myself when he was on the show and I found him intimidating and menacing back then but re-watching this he's like a panto character lol ... I always remember a story line in Eastenders it must have been around the same time. Some old ex army guy was running the queen vic and this gangster showed up creating mayhem he beat the landlord to within an inch of his life. Can't remember the character or actors name and he as also scary and Phil , grant and the landlord all have a massive showdown with the gangster and his crew I think. I'd like to re-watch that to see if he's still scary lol
Quigley wasn't a playground bully 😂,, he had hard muscle for back up and used it to good effect. Id hardly call someone who can have someone put in intensive care for a final warning a "playground bully".
Jim's one of soaps toughest due to this beating up someone that eventually kills them isn't a easy thing to do not many soap characters have taken a life with there bare hands
I get why you think that makes him one of the toughest soap characters but I think there's alot of better fighters in soaps. Nathan Harding in my opinion was harder than Jim since he was a boxing champion in the military and put Ashley in the hospital with a single punch. He also floored everyone else he hit and was obviously really skilled.

Only a rumour but it makes sense because there's no way Jez would have facial injuries that severe from one punch to the face, it would also explain how he died from the beating.

jim handed himself in shortly after because it was the right thing to do. He also thought it wouldn't be long before the police came knocking on his door. I suppose he could have been right there because there were witnesses that he pushed out of the way going into jez's flat. So he probably would have got arrested eventually if he didn't hand himself in.

Like when we were on holiday and went to the zoo in Fuengirola, Spain, and went into the bat room, the bats weren't behind any kind of net or glass or metal bars or anything, they were just all up hanging off the roof, and could in theory fly down and land on you if they wanted (but they didn't because they're more scared of you than you are of them), so I got terrified cos I was 9, and ran out of the bat room, and my parents called me a big girl's blouse, and they were correct. I went back to that zoo 20 years later as an adult and I was still terrified of that room. Though I managed to not just immediately run out, that time, just walk at a brisk pace. It's basically just a very large shed, it's not a huge room, like maybe 50ft long? But cos it was my childhood I first was there, it's probably the reason why bats are the only animal I'm scared of. And I'm in good company considering Batman is terrified of them. But Batman like me is just being a big girl's blouse.

But Jez was acquitted so had his henchmen beat Steve up in a multi-storey car park so badly that he lost consciousness and was hospitalised for weeks. So Steve’s father Jim paid him a visit in the video above and punched him twice so hard in the stomach that it damaged his spleen, which then ruptured when he tried to stop Steve from pressing the emergency button and he died on the way to the operating theatre.
Jim grew up in the mean streets of a loyalist area of Belfast. Jim lived throughout the troubles and had witnessed the 1969 troubles as a boy. Jim was no soft case. Jim could of easy been drawn into one of the loyalist paramilitary groups, UDA, UFF or the UVF and would have made an excellent soldier within one of the loyalist paramilitary groups. But Jim ultimately went on to join the Royal Engineers of the British army. Jim had no trouble adapting to prison life.
I would absolutely love if Jim and Liz returned on Corrie and finally got together ❤ they nearly did until Corrie ruined it by getting Jim to lie about their dead daughter Katie and we all know full well Jim would NEVER have done that!!!!!
