J1 LEAGUE 2023: VLOG #51 CEREZO OSAKA VS SANFRECCE HIROSHIMA @ YODOKO SAKURA STADIUM

Cherry Blossom Season might be over, but stop #7 had me see a whole shade of pink! My destination was none other than the Yodoko Sakura Stadium in Osaka, home to Cerezo Osaka. With their bright vivid pink jerseys, they hosted Hiroshima in what turned out to be a great match of football. It was an afternoon match so I had very little time to explore, but I did what I could before heading over to the stadium. I decided to pay a visit to the renowned Osaka Castle, but not before taking a quick stroll through the neighborhood of Shinkensai which is known for its' vibrant atmosphere and vibes, as well as it being the location of the notable Tsutenkaku Tower. However, since it was during the day, it wasn't as lively as usual, but still it was nice. Also, I was unable to go up both the tower and castle, but I still had a lovely time strolling through both areas. I was hoping to eat some delicious Tuna cheek at Izakaya Toyo, but sadly he was gone for Golden Week. Ah yes, I forgot to mention, it was the beginning of string of holidays, also known as Golden Week. Apart from Izakaya Toyo, I felt like my day was going well and it definitely got better once I arrived at the stadium. The atmosphere was awesome from both set of supporters, the location of the stadium was both convenient and scenic, the trains in the background would pass throughout the duration of the match and I thought that pretty neat. The match was very intense and ultimately was, well, you should just go check it out! I don't want to give any spoilers!

How did you buy tickets to the game without living in Japan?

I signed up through the J league website, but it does require a Japanese address, phone number, and some other details, which I just put the address to one of my hotels, and a random phone number lol. You can also buy at 7 11, family mart, lawson, or at the stadium on match days.
