you mentioned twice that amiga 500 and amiga 1200 show as 1 in batocera, however you can seperate them. go to 'game collection settings' and then go to ' grouped settings' and unmark the amiga boxes, now the folders should show up seperatly . I keep mine ' AGA ' (verions) games in the A1200 folder, there a lot option under game collections settings, so you can basicly create your own library folders, just a friendly tip.
Hey Jamie Happy New Year, Do you know how to change discs on the Amiga? I have got a game loaded up and now it asks me for disc 2. I dont know how to load it up, This is on batocera running on Raspberry Pi 3B.
Could you try the AGA game Star Trek 25th Anniversary game. I have whdload games for the 500/1200 and CD32 working fine in batocera (host hardware is an i5-7500 with GTX 1060 and running from an ssd) but whenever i try to play Star Trek the only emulator that will actually launch it is PUAE2021, standard PUAE, Amiberry and FSUAE all give me an exception line 1010 error but although PUAE2021 will launch the game it gets to intro which plays fine but after the intro when it moves on to loading the deck of the enterprise the audio gets choppy and the game lags incredibly slow like a slide show. I've tried different downloads of the game but they all do the same thing. Works fine in Winuae on windows though
Looks TERRIBLE when stretched to 16:9 as the game was designed in 4:3. I always use 4:3 unless I scale the game to 16:9 keeping its aspect ratio meaning you get the top and bottom of the game cut off which is fine in alot of cases because there is usually stupid disgusting looking Rasters on the top or bottom (the MAIN thing I utterly despise about Amiga games stealing precious pixels and screen space to put that garbage.) Scanlines makes the game look exactly like we remeber on a Sharp 1084s Monitor. I cant play them any other way.

Yup. Enter retroarch and swap/change discs.
@@JustJamie1983 I cannot seem to find this option do I need to run a certain emulator to get this option?
Libetro cores do this, take a look at how to enter retroarch whilst using cores in Batocera.

Hey there. I don't have the Star Trek game sorry.
@@JustJamie1983 never mind, thanks for the reply :)
@michaelmclaughlin6141 No probs at all.
Great video , where do i find my bios files in my amiga forever?
Hi there. They will be in the share folder.
You don't need a 'ridiculous amount of files'. 99% of Amiga gamers will be happy with 2 ROMS, A500, A1200
And so for the other 1% this info is useful 👍

Ratio is a matter of preference my friend.
@@JustJamie1983 its a Matter of accuracy first, and then preference yes.
Thanks for your feedback.
@@JustJamie1983 Thank you for the Video. I needed something like this to set up Batocera correctly. So it definitely helps and is a great video.
My pleasure 😀
