The Lost World could be a nice title since the book is in public domain so they can't sue you for that plus a nice nod to the second movie.

Which developers? Electronic Arts made Warpath and The Lost World, BlueTongue created JPOG, Frontier Developments produced two games with decent graphics. And Sega mass-produced several of their own Jurassic Park titles. Plus, most team developers from certain companies likely would crush @Krenautican in both animation and graphical prowess.
Universal is fuming, they couldn’t create a full-blown masterpiece like this.
he did it in Dreams too, something Universal couldn't even with fully fledged game engines 😂
I don't understand why Universal couldn't have licensed the IP officially in exchange for a cut. I know win-win solutions are immensely unpopular with modern corporations.

They could have easily funded someone or some ones (hell, even this guy) but they didn't and aren't. I'll never know why obviously amazing ideas always get ignored by companies.
I guess Hammond was right: "creation is an act of sheer will", becasue the amount of dedication you're pouring into this is awe inspiring
If it’s not too much trouble you should add a feature where if you lose the trex or hold still before it attacks, it would go into some sort of curiosity mode where it would sniff the car/you, nudge the vehicle, lower its head to have its eyes meet yours, etc. and if you successfully hide from it it’ll walk away. Kinda would add to that classic Jurassic Park horror feel
That’s actually already in the game! If you’re far enough away and the T. Rex spots you there’s a chance it’ll get confused. It looks around for a few seconds and roars to try to get the player to move but if you stay still it’ll eventually lose interest and walk away.
@@Krenautican Would be cool to be able to switch on and off lights of the car. Maybe with the lights on, T-rex could be curious or even still on your trail. Keep a great work and cheers from Warhorse Studios. :)

@ I really like that idea! Right now the headlights only make it easier for the T. Rex to spot you from a distance but I'll definitely consider adding your idea.
Big L for universal being blind about this. This looks absolutely stunning and reflects how much dedication passion and hard work it actually took. Great work and I hope this comes into light for a larger audience and hopefully universal too.
Literally nothing they make could compare to this, they wanna treat dinos like big dogs that can be tamed when they should be killing machines firstly

i saw a comment suggesting the name “The Lost World”, and I think its probably the best name. it keeps the jurassic park feel, being a nod to the second book and movie, while also being legal to use as the original book is in public domain. if i was part of the team, i would totally go with The Lost World!

I opened Dreams up a couple weeks ago and messed around but never really understood what we could do until seeing you code that T-Rex.

It didn't get removed it's just not released yet. It's still in beta so only a few select people can access it for playtesting. There isn't a release date yet but I'm working as fast as I can to get it out.

I don't know how to explain it, but everything you make has that nostalgic tone/feeling that the OG movie had. Nothing since those first two films have felt like the OG, but your work really does.

I'm definitely going to make fanarts and fan animations of the game. I really love the Jurassic Park fanbase, and I can't describe the hype I have for this game.
He's making the game we've all wanted from the start. A horror game set in Jurassic Park! Hopefully, he adds the Raptors. I think if he makes them work like the Xenomorph in Alien Isolation it could be really fun! Have the player hide in lockers or under desks until the pack moves on.

We just got an announcement of a Jurassic Park survival horror game! GREAT time to be a fan!
Something I love that other dino horror survivor games don’t do that you do is add AI, it doesn’t feel as immersive if the dinosaurs move weirdly and only runs at you nothing else, having adding realistic movement and actions makes it much better like how you’re doing!

This is beyond words. I'm a huge Jurassic Park fan. I created the Jurassic Park map on Far Cry 5 for PS4.
I can definitely appreciate the details in your world building efforts.
WOW, you are truly special and talented. I really like how you leaned into horror feelings and darker undertones. Sort of the Christopher Nolan version of JP. This is the way. Your attention to detail is admirable, as someone who has deep appreciation of these things! So stoked to play your creation

I think I should start of say I have no game dev experience and have no idea how difficult this might be to implement, I am just say what I think might be cool/interesting. And I have only really just discovered this game your developing, so for all that I could know you have already got this.
One thing I noticed about the T-Rex was it just wanders about, now the ambush mechanic is really cool and make it feel more alive, but an idea I think would be interesting is to have the T-Rex inspect and sniff its surroundings. For example, what if you just broke line of sight of the T-Rex and are now sitting still to not get detected, instead of the T-Rex just walking by, it could sniff around, maybe inspecting the car. Maybe not every time but just often enough to keep the player on their toes. And it can just be a visual thing so it’s not to challenging for the player to get past.
I would like to say how cool it is to see a JP game that looks more horror focused and not a park builder, fantastic work you are doing!

Amazing work, love the ambiance going silent when T-Rex is nearby! Getting Dreams trough Psplus to play this. (Also imagine if T-Rex could actually jump over walls, that looked scary. )

The problem with big game devs is that they allow investors to molest otherwise excellent games. This looks so good and close to what fans want because it's made by a real fan.
dude im 15 minutes in and i cant tell ya how amazed i am by this.its got everything that ive wanted for a jp game.shame you guys didnt get to work under universal and have the game get ported to other platforms since i dont have any playstation to get dreams but splendid job with what you guys are doin.

I love the detail that came with designing the T-Rex animations. I also loved the analog horror animation of the San Diego incident it really did give me the chills especially when the T-Rex attacks the camera man. Can’t wait to see the next devlog. ❤

The amount of respect I have for you and the time and energy you're put into your creation can't be expressed in words alone, but as part of the Dreams community let me say thank you for everything you're doing to give us an absolutely amazing experience for free in Dreams. My hope for you is Universal will experience this for themselves, see that is true to to the JP franchise and in no way damages it, and allow the brand back in it. We understand and always have this is a fan game, not an official game from Universal. Although, it should be. This game is clearly worthy to be an official game. In my opinion, perhaps one of the best, if not the best JP interactive gaming experiences a fan can have. Universal should see, fans like you are the reason this franchise has kept going strong since it's debut in 1993.

Like for example that Jurassic park Survival from ps2 by Konami, which was canceled, Which was supposed to be released in 2001, I still haven't gotten over the cancellation of Jurassic Park Survival. It would have been better than operations genesis.

I assume you chose PS dreams to make this because its easier for you. But I do hope someday you undertake the work of remaking this on another engine so it doesnt remain locked to the playstation. One day, Sony WILL pull the plug on PS dreams.

This looks amazing! Something I think would be cool is adding the accurate sound of a T-Rex (found on the channel @StudioMod), maybe when it's trying to find you and isn't chasing you, which then changes back to the classic sound when it does. Either way, it looks really good! I can't wait to see how this goes!
