I use rice cooked in a rice cooker for my lagers at 30% of the grain bill. The rest is pilsner malt. Freight costs in Australia are fast becoming unaffordable. The cost of freighting from Melbourne to regional New South Wales is now 75% the cost of a 25 kg sack of malt. I've got to use adjuncts like supermarket rice to keep costs down in order to continue brewing.
