@@Chrisjenkinstvg I was saying that all the producers that only make money off of Tracking vocals to a already made beat will not have a job anymore because now anyone can record their own vocals. Slap trackspacer on your beat and side chain to your vocals to create a hole for your vocals to sit in and pay the subscription to waves and you are now saving crazy amounts of money than going to one of those dudes
@@whome806 It's certainly easier if you don't know how to make your own chain, but if you don't know how to mix, you'll never get a good vocal sound if you rely only on this waves rack, because they're all set in advance and each re-recorded vocal requires a different treatment
Where can I get help from. New to the way waves does plugins. Got some from the last sale and I’m not sure which version i should be on or why I can’t see my plugins inside of studio one v5 artist , it says I downloaded them but I can’t find the licenses. I just let the system choose everything like I do any other vsts, but I got nothing and I haven’t found any videos to explain it or walk me thru it. Also not sure what ppl keep talking about when it comes to do we own our purchases or not. But for now I need help to even start to use them
Hey, if you purchased a license for your products and are having difficulties, ring waves technical support. I’ve used them on several occasions and can’t say, they are great. They’ll have you sorted.
Hey, i've been using this feature, however unlike in your video, when i click on a specific plug-in in my rack, my macro doesn't change to modify the effects of said plug in. I also feel as though, my rack isn't linked to my macros. Any advice?
Hi Tobias, We suggest getting in touch with our Sales department who will be able to assist you with understanding what happened to your subscription: www.waves.com/contact-sales
This only works on recorded vocals in acoustically treated rooms and if you recorded or received vocals full of bad frequencies these are too simple vocal chains
alot of engineers dont cut but boost the good and the very low looks rolled off already from video so thats a good start also you can still go into each plugin and tweak which what i would do if i was to try it thats why its good to learn the plugins and what eq and compression etc. does so you know what to do if your vocals change or artist changes song to song
This is a good tutorial but it also leads to the question about the efficacy of using a single piece of equipment for everything and the skillset that will never be built by the DIY educated sound engineers. *It's a sad day in music when nobody even knows how to use a $99 rack processor anymore! lol*
It all depends on the individual. Looks to me like you can teach yourself a lot by inspecting the presets. First thing I'd do is load something up and isolate every effect and see what it does. Then see what one and one does... And so on. You can teach yourself what kind of chains to build in any other daw...
