Corky you are the first person to demonstrate how to tie a geode fully to me. You added lots of tips and tricks. Thank you so much. After watching your video I created a pair of geode modal pants. Wish I could post a photo of them so you could see. They turned out so well. They are a gift for my sister but I am so tempted to keep them for myself. Thank you again for all of your help. Your tiedye creations are so beautiful and an amazing inspiration.

You need a sinew puller! They sell them with a caddy but I didn't want to pay $70 for it so I did this: bought a "baking tamper" from Amazon for $7. It's a wooden spool with 2 rounded, flat ends. I screwed a screw into the end of one. Then I use my drill, and put it in the head of the screw, to spin the tamper and get all my sinew off the roll it comes on, and onto the wooden roll. I have the sinew roll on a chopstick shoved through a paper towel roll so it can sit up and roll freely. (If you have a helper you can just have them hold it for you.) Just slightly move the wooden roller back and forth so the sinew doesn't bunch up in one area too much. It's so much easier to grab and pull TIGHT and way cheaper than a real sinew puller and caddy.

This seems so much quicker and easier than ice. Getting ready for my first go around and was gonna use ice but now I’m not so sure

Ohhhhh I love it! You're so kind to take time at the beginning and share your process. ❤ I appreciate the explanations to about how and why the dyes react the way they do. I'm an amateur ;)

LOVE THIS SHIRT. Mine is soaking in hot water right now for 30 minutes 😊
Omg I'm rewatching portions and just noticed a cat face two spaces above the dog! 😅🐱
Btw... I have a serious case of peridolia

They have 50lb sinew on eBay that you’ll be hard pressed to break without putting a hole in the shirt! I’ve never tried spandex shirts tho!

Oh really?? Maybe I need to try that. It’s so frustrating when it breaks. 😬

      For tying geodes shirts?

What do you use to tie your shirts? I use sinew too and my lines are always white...how do you get the fabric under the sinew to pick up dye...your geodes have colorful sinew lines.
