    Very informative Sir, but audio quality is not great

      The last few he has posted have this same horrid audio quality, severe transcoding artifacts, possibly due to some over use of "noise reduction" settings..

    Dr. Gundry - thank you so much for your podcasts. My health improved beyond expectations. After reading your book Decoding Keto Diet I started following your advice re intermittent fasting. I am 77 years old and was quickly slipping into a metabolic syndrome. I already have high blood pressure and have pre diabetes. I also lately gained about 25 lbs and my BP started to rise. I already tried typical high fat keto but my doctor spotted rise in cholesterol and wanted to prescribe statins. I also developed kidney stones first time in my life. I assume I had macros wrong on keto and had hard time figuring it all out. After starting your diet it all changed rapidly. I tolerate MCT oil very well and take it 3x per day. Am with my coffee, lunch at 1pm and dinner at 6:30 pm. 1 tbsp at the time. I have no digestive issues with this oil. I feel no hunger at all with 2 medium sized meals. I was tortured by hunger particularly in the evenings. Now it is all gone. I walk daily without being exhausted. All in 5 weeks time. I am losing weight quickly and lost 12 lbs. I feel my heart is not straining anymore because 25 lbs gain is way too much for me. I have physical this month and will see the results from my blood tests. My legs started to swell after physical activity and it was very concerning. But now my legs and ankles are all clear of any fluids. I will follow your diet for the rest of my life. Hoping to lose another 13 lbs to bring me down to 145lbs which would be perfect as I am 5’7. I also increased fiber and pre and post biotics as you recommended.

    Thanks again for your wisdom

    Freaking loop holes these companies use. It ought to be illegal.

    • @deusvlad2.083
      @deusvlad2.083 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, can you believe that it's not because these companies pay the govenrments money to let them sell as is, until there's a huge law change and only then can we control companies. They can't buy everyone in government.

    • @walkingman9171
      @walkingman9171 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not illegal because the LOL FDA LOL is bought and paid for. Oh, and that's with your tax dollars.

    • @deusvlad2.083
      @deusvlad2.083 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@walkingman9171 Yeah I have to agree with this statement, seems governments around the world are all corrupt because money makes them more powerful. I wish it was illegal and governments should pay the people their tax back for every FDA bought item, well in a perfect world.
      Just remember the OP said it ought to be illegal which means it should be.

    The U.S. allows over 70 additives in wine, and winemakers aren't legally obligated to disclose whether they've used them. Most olive oils from the supermarket are cut with inflammatory seed oils to decrease costs. Nutrition labels are just as tricky.

  • @aaaa00007
    @aaaa00007 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nutrition labels should be called "Left Over" not Nutrition. Once the food is processed (placed into a bag or box most live complex life-giving nutrition is killed). You should eat only things that are closest to Raw as possible especially avoid pasteurized products that are a leading cause of all sorts of issues. Raw milk, raw cheese, Grassfed beef, and Organic eggs, avoid eating toxic plants that are common in supermarkets and some marketed as Superfoods.

    Should Gundry products containing polyphenols such as Power Phenols and Total Restore (I take both) have a statement on their labels stating not to take with dairy? For a time I was taking these with A2 milk.

    to take away the "serving size" trick, they need to follow the EU, and force them to also include nutritional info for 100g of the product - in addition to the serving size.

    • @jenniferwinston7842
      @jenniferwinston7842 ปีที่แล้ว

      Freedom means our government doesn't parent its citizens or force them to do anything. If you like the eu so much please move there. The out of control government is the reason we have this BS labelling in the first place. It's your responsibility to know what your doing.

  • @deusvlad2.083
    @deusvlad2.083 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So 300g carbs minus - 100g fiber then divided by 4 = 275 so that is 275 teaspoons of sugar? but the 200g is the total sugar your body gets from the product? Bit confused here someone help me lol.

    • @stephenhodges1048
      @stephenhodges1048 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes 200g of sugar but 300g minus 100g equals 200g. 200 divided by 4 equals 50 teaspoons of sugar. At least that is my understanding.

    • @deusvlad2.083
      @deusvlad2.083 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stephenhodges1048 ah that makes more sense thanks, just wondering that's an equivelant only though right? for instance if you take a product that has no sugar instead has honey as the source of sugar, which is fructose and glucose, that wouldn't be able to convert the product into how many teaspoons of sugar, this would only work with products that contain cane sugar right?
      I mean like eg/ Honey being fructose and glucose you can't calculate table sugar with honey or fruits only products that contain normal white sugar can calculate accurately how many tea spoons of sugar in them based on the carbs/fiber then divide by 4, but this info is indeed valuable for all man made products that contain table sugar.

    • @stephenhodges1048
      @stephenhodges1048 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@deusvlad2.083 Yes, it’s an equivalency but this formula does not tell you how much table sugar(sucrose) is in the product rather how much of all sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose, lactose, etc.) are in the product. In your example of honey, if a product contains honey as its only source of sugar, then it will tell you how much glucose and fructose there is in total.
      Calculating just the amount of sucrose or added sugars is notoriously difficult. Corporations have created dozens of aliases for sugar and you can often find several of them in the ingredients list without knowing exactly how much of each one is in the product. One way of trying to hide how much sugar is in the product.Thus Dr. Grundy, who recommends consuming ALL types in limited quantities, recommends using the formula to know how much is the total amount of all sugars in the product be it fructose, glucose, sucrose, etc...
