This is simply a fantastic piece of music. In the opening segment I love the contrast between the main theme and the high pitched trumpets which evoke an ambivalent defiance towards the impending sense of doom.
I'm a Medieval Man I'm a Medieval Man W-W-W-W-What do you want? W-W-W-W-What do you want? W-W-W-W-What do you want? Why do you keep touching me? W-W-W-W-What do you want? W-W-W-W-What do you want? In the Age of Chaos, In the Age of Chaos, In the Age of Chaos, Two factions battled for dominance! Welcome to the World of WarCraft!
I always liked being bad guy and doing bad things in video games, that's why i loved undead campaigns in wc3 so much. It would be cool if you could play as demons too.
Funny thing is, I didn't even know the original Warcraft had music when I played it the first time because the relatives whose computer I was playing it on had MIDI configured wrong.
I'm a Mediaeval man! Your will, sire? Yes? Yes! Yes, my lord! What do you want? Why do you keep touching me? In the age of Chaos, two factions battle for dominance! Work complete! Dabu, dabu!. Welcome to the World of Warcraft!
Yeah, maybe I went a little off topic, cos I was referring Alliance from Warcraft 2, when Lothar rallied his forces to Lordaeron and humans made themselves one union under Lothars orders with combing powers of, elves dwarves and gnomes. Only Alterac was not so eager for Alliance at the 1st place where Gilneas and Stormgarde left after the Dark Portal was destroyed. And meanwhile Gul'dan and Ogrim had their fights between them. And who was 1st to rebel in 1st war... Ogrim killed Blackhand.
The whole concept of demonic corruption wasn't present in WC 1 or 2. Thats something they introduced in WC 3 to make Orcs (and Horde) more likeable. So now, their a bunch of hippies, thanks to Thrall.
I liked it better that way and a lot of other people do as well. These days everyone has to be "morally ambiguous" in video games because no one wants to play as the bad guy or do "bad things". Orcs were violent conquerors from another world and it fit with the whole theme of a dark medieval setting that was present in WC 1 and 2. Then they took a shit on all of that and screwed the franchise by turning it into another high fantasy convoluted mess.
Problem was the Horde has grudges inside. Like we the men have among each others. Less ofcourse than in the Middle-ages, but still we have our own grudges, skin colour, culture differences, religion, money and power. Solve these and we get humans from Warcraft, strong and united.
You're partly wrong. We Warcraft 1 players knew it, though it wasn't quite as fleshed out as it is now. From the Warcraft 1 manual: "During the battle with his father, he inadvertently opened a gateway to the domain that they, and many other foul creatures, call home. The Orcs are disciples of chaos, however, and not even Medivh has the power to control them."
Good ol Warcraft 1, such a shame the controls are VERY clunky by today's standards. Loved playing this as a kid and of the three this one was my favorite which was probably due to the dark atmosphere as well as the dark sounding music.
Lok'tar Brother, we shall blacken the day with the wings of our drakes. We'll ascend upon the Alliance like Hornets, and rid the putrid smell from Azeroth. We'll claim her in the name of the Horde!
YES? YES MY LORD. YES? YES MY LORD. MY LIEGE? YES. YOUR WILL SIRE? YES.
+Shannon Rodgers hahahaha oh YES XD
WHAT.
WHAT DO YOU WANT.
WHY DO YOU KEEP TOUCHING ME.
It’s like the Warcraft version of KIROV REPORTING

Welcome to the World of WarCraft!
My favorite tune of this classic and also most memorable, I recall it from over 10 years ago.
Thank you, GOG, for allowing us to have this experience again bug-free XXX
Oh WarCraft...how much you've grown...how much you've changed...I hardly know you anymore...I miss you...back then it was simple and it was better.
I always liked being bad guy and doing bad things in video games, that's why i loved undead campaigns in wc3 so much.

That damn first level chiptune, 0:36 to 1:12
glenn stafford is a musical genious
I just love the WC1 music so much. Love the whole game though tbh.
Funny thing is, I didn't even know the original Warcraft had music when I played it the first time because the relatives whose computer I was playing it on had MIDI configured wrong.

Dabu, dabu!. Welcome to the World of Warcraft!
the music in #1 was so epic
I'm a medieval man!
You are missing one song from the Mac CD audio: The title.
When I played my first Warcraft game (Warcraft 3) I thought the orcs would look like the 1980 rankin bass return of the king movie lol

Truly gives you this feeling of oh shit end of days war is going on
that said...there's something really cool about playing as a bloodthirsty force of evil, laying waste to the noble snobby humans.
2:05 my favorite part
I liked it better that way and a lot of other people do as well.

Don't forget the orc chorus.
Orcs in this game serves evil, and they got evil music
Makes you want to don the chain mail, grab your sword, shield and spear, go do battle with the Saracen...er...I mean Orcs.
YES MY LORD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the original to WC2 disco! awesome

This wasn't composed by Glenn Stafford
back when training a peon took like forever
Imagine a hip hop instrumental adaptation of this
We already got the Disco version with I'm a Medieval Man
this is the original music the other 1 is a remix
help me , this is Gravis ultrasound or roland sound card ? Its not soundblaster definatly. Sorry my english .
Greatgnomex Gnome I ran it on dosbox with general midi.
but it wasnt as similar as this music.
I just realized that the human is holding a sword and not a gun... Better late than never? They dont even have guns in the game, wtf brain!?
the horde reminds me piccolo :D
Yeah I know, now their abunch of hippies
Also, Warcraft 1 and 2 had undead in one form or another. Just not as an independent race. See warlocks and death knights.
i know that, but just now found out
it sounds like im a medieval man from warcraft 2

Play this in 1.25x speed.
Wh-wha wh-wha what do you want?
Why do you keep touching me?
At once!
Grab a sword and fight the Horde!
Kill the Alliance they have-have-no-chance against the horde!
***** That's not a quote.
Thaddian Gaming No it isn't. I was singing a rap to medival man.
"New troll here!"
***** He was stating a quote from Warcraft 3.
Thaddian Gaming and I quoted from warcraft 2.
So?
They pretty much were. Demonic corruption kind of does that to you.
I guess there's the actual demons/undead for that now...but I just can't relate with them as well.
TBH the demons are pretty cool
The undead were pretty cool too, shame that you couln't play as demons tho.
Wha-wha wha-wha what do you want?
Wha-wha wha-wha what do you want?
Wha-wha wha-wha what do you want?

Lok'tar Brother, we shall blacken the day with the wings of our drakes. We'll ascend upon the Alliance like Hornets, and rid the putrid smell from Azeroth. We'll claim her in the name of the Horde!
