The song is called 'Vivo per lei', originally sung by Andrea Bochelli and GIorgia, Emma is a TH-camr who does covers and has a whopping 3.9 million subscribers. It was her first big gig on TV (if I'm not wrong) but she nailed all her performances. She sung a song by and for Floor Jansen, called "Strong". Floor's mother has a Rheumatic disease with daily pains and still she keeps on smiling and she keeps "strong". And Emma's mom recovered from cancer, so she could relate to the song. If you're gonna watch the whole season, you gonna need several boxes of tissues. This show knows how to 'play' with people's emotions. Cause the artists choose songs for each other that often have a personal meaning behind it. I like that it's not a competition. It's more like a celebration of each other, as artists. They spend time together on the island of Ibiza, where the show is filmed. So they really get to know each other in that time. That 2019 season will suck you right in and you'll start to love every one of em.

Never heard of him before but love him since I watched Beste Zangers because of Floor. He has such a full and soothing deep voice. And he always looked like a proud dad when Floor was singing. My favorite thing was him, a classical singer, listening to a metal singer singing a classical song in her style and just saying: good music is good music. Best statement ever. It doesn't matter which genre as long as it sounds good. So he covered the Disturbed version for her, not the original, and learned how to use distortion just for her. You have to love him. Edit: it sounded like you never heard the Disturbed cover/version before. If that's the case, I highly recommend checking it out. I really like the official music video and I always love the surprise on people's faces when they realize that metal singers can sing like that.
This cover is in my opinion really not bad but it's for sure not better than disturbed's version. So I as well recommend you to watch the Disturbed version.
He does it so easily. Just casually sitting on a stool, no earpiece/headphones and I've read that he practiced that distortion for only two hours. Singing with that distortion is generally a no-go (or at least very unusual) for opera singers. I also feel like Henk is a passionate singer and doesn't feel the need for fame.

Floor sang in five different languages on this show alone. She can do eight in total. You should check out all of these gigs because she's not just a Metal Queen. Nobody knew her on this show. That's why the faces of the other singers are great to look at when Floor shows them what has been ignored all these years in this country. Henk is Floor's great role model since childhood.

Amazing, a professional tenor vocalist singing with growls, absolutely forbidden in the classical opera world. Henk Poort risked in 2019 with this performance of this song the end of his classical opera career.

He started his education at the conservatory 40 years ago. In the Netherlands he is a famous opera and musical singer. He also sang in Germany, Italy etc. Nowadays he tours with his own solo shows and performes in Floor her solo shows. The last one was at Pinkpop. There is one, with Floor and Henk in September, and in 2019 Floor promised Henk he would sing the Phantom of the Opera with her with Nightwish. At the Ziggo dome in Amsterdam. That show is, finally, going through in November. So, fingers crossed, it will happen...

She was well known since she became the lead vocalist of After Forever and ReVamp, but never became mainstream outside the metal scene. Tuomas and Anette were fully aware of her capabilities when it came to asking a stand-in during Anette’s illness and pregnancy in 2012.

Hi! I love your video’s! Beste zangers is one of the best shows on dutch television. Its been on for i think 11 seasons now, they bring forward artists of every genre of music. Pop artists, rappers, musical stars, youtubers, retired artists, folks singers, you name it: its al there. They all make a personal list of songs that inspires them or is one of their own. They all share their stories, about music but also about personal stuff, the highs and lows of life and each other. Its all about the love for music and having each others back. If you can find them, you should watch all the episodes, its freakin awesome! Here in the Netherlands, we have a band called “Racoon”. Bart is the leadsinger and has such an unique voice! He really makes you understand the emotion of the songs. They did an cover bij “Abel” called “onderweg” you need to see it! I hope there’s a version with subtitles somewhere.
