Rick Moranis’ decision to retire was a veritable tragedy for the movie industry. He was an amazing actor that many modern comedic “actors” can (and should) learn buckets from - he was great in dramatic roles too, which is a talent something very few comedy actors have these days.

      @@srayj Absolutely. 👍👍
That makes Moranis even greater - he showed to be not just a great actor but a great man too. Not many actors would’ve done (or even been willing to do) the same.

Others that should have been on your list are Carousel - Oklahoma - The Music Man - Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - South Pacific - and many more. I saw La La Land and I thought it was a poor imitation of the great musicals of the 30's, 40's and 50's and I was very surprised to see it nominated for an Oscar. If Hollywood is going to put all types of actors in musicals, they should teach those actors how to sing first. The majority of actors who try to sing today have no concept as to how to sing.

Totally wonderful. All the songs and the movie were amazing and are better than hubris of The Greatest Showman and its horrible soundtrack.

If there's another list I need to see Pretty Women song by Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp on Sweeny Todd. Great duet indeed

Oh yes, Bea Arthur is awesome. Though Lucy was panned at the time. (A rarity for her otherwise incredible career.)

My favorite duet is in the movie Naughty Marietta. Ah Sweet Mystery Of Life, sung by Nelson Eddy and Jeanette McDonald. They had real singing voices.

What’re the chances of getting a second list? There are so many great songs! One with “Rewrite the Stars” and “A Million Dreams” in it maybe? Love The Greatest Showman!

The songs from The Greatest Showman *are not* great, as it's literally bland, generic and utterly horrible.
Also, The Greatest Showman along with the songs are a pile of 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩.

My grandma and her sisters would sing sisters. In my family, we watch White Christmas after the main Thanksgiving meal. I admit that I have the movie on DVD and I watch it throughout the year.
