Great video of your mail call of new toys lol! I've got that Aggregate Kit and Pink 2Bay Haliburton hopper car too! Those NS 2Bay Hoppers are sweet looking pieces. Your track looks great so far even though I know it'll go all the way around. I think I mentioned that mine will be U shaped. Im not sure if you will have a chance to read this or not. But in my 24 plus railroad career, many times id encounter those covered hopper cars with close enough numbers that it shouldn't be to difficult to mix them up. Perhaps just by altering the numbers by even two or three digits. Example, 432657/ 432659. Sometimes you're going to see a whole string in a number series. I've seen a group of up to 8,or more all within a couple of cars cars together. Best regards regards and keep up the great job.

Great haul! I tried to limit myself to 10 of each car type. You can guess how well that went! 😂 One thing I forgot to ask. Since you’ve used a lot of flex track, do you think you’ll miss the clickety~clack sound of wheels on track joins? I’ve heard people use small cuts in the track to get the sound. Lucky you have the track saw. I look forward to the next video.
Just curious, what made you decide not to use cork under your raodbed...I know some people use it to lessen the sound, others just for the look of raised road bed, just was wondering...
I just didn’t want to hassle with it since what I have now is mostly yards and industry’s. I guess it’s a personal choice. The foam itself does a pretty good job with the sound though
Hello Sir, I never heard of a hobby shop or train store sell only HO and N-Scale products only. My favorite model railroad scales since I was a kid will always be Standard Gauge, Lionel 3-rail, HO and N-Scale. That's what I've been around with all my life. I can't in good faith support a Hobby Shop or Train Shop that doesn't believe in all the scales in model railroading. I Just Can't!!! Thank you for your time Sincerely Allan
Just curious, seeing as the hoppers you got were all NS hoppers, with one being CSX, does that mean your switching to modeling NS, or are you sticking with BNSF or doing something completely different?
I just got the CSX and NS ones cause that’s what they had in stock but I do plan to renumber some of them and remove the logos but that’ll be down the line. Not sure what railway I’ll be going with yet either haha

In theory though it still works to use them, you sometimes do see a few cars from other railroads in trains, especially if a train was being collected for say the BNSF, but it was coming from NS, as BNSF might send one of their locomotives to get it. The other thing to is you don’t even need to model a specific railroad, it’s just a hobby after all!!!

It’s hard to limit yourself in this hobby 😂 but I actually have a lot of cuts/sections in mine so I do still hear it a little

What glue do you use to build the walthers kits? And how do you go through the process?

You could cover the duplicate numbered hopper with some graffiti. something common amoung railcars.
