This was hilarious! I always love your April Fools videos! Some of my favorite bits: when you recreated _a section of your grandmother's living room floor_ , and then ran current from the wall _DIRECTLY into the track_ . I love that you literally broke character for a second to say "don't do this you'll die" and then somehow kept the momentum for the joke going! Also, your extreme panic while you tried to assemble that loco, and then being calmed by the chocolate pudding, had me in stitches as well! Your exaggerated panic was so hilarious! And the banana "wagon" having sprung buffers had me DYING! And when you had to manually pull the buffer back out, I lost it haha... This video says a lot about how you view this hobby, and I think those beliefs are why people find your channel so inviting and fun. You ridicule the idea of the "official, definitive model railwayman", because you believe that ALL model railfans count, regardless of how they express their passion, and it's silly and pretentious for anyone to feel "superior". This video highlights the best parts of your attitude. You don't take yourself too seriously, and you don't pass judgement on how people enjoy this hobby. Your humility and tolerance of all forms of model railroading pop up in your other videos too, but when you parody pretentious attitudes in these videos, it really shines, and brings everybody down to earth! Side splitting stuff with a great message at the core, Sam, awesome work!

I just purchased a new GWR Banana-van and I happen to absolutely love it, thank goodness for this video I knew straight away it was the real article. I absolutely love love the sprung buffers, high quality on rolling stock. I might need to contact Bachmann, however, when I turn the power up on my Tart Class the Banana van started to cook behind it...made banana pudding on my layout...I’m sure that’s just a feature like firebox glow.
Now this, is top notch, can’t wait to start my model railway adventure! My well detailed layout, the thing i’ve spent so much time on? Nah, I gotta get some carpet! Well done Sam! Can’t wait to show my pets the outstanding model railway!

I didn't know about your April's Fool thing as an annual event.... But I caught on quickly. I'm afraid that SOME People might actually try some of those.... most from Here in the Colonies!! 😳😜 (we've got quite an ignorant lot here in the States)
Thoroughly enjoyed and entertained!! Cheers Mate!

lol, shame April fools doesn't come round more often love these videos. How far did that 0-4--0 jump in the air lol

Well done as always Sam! I laughed so hard at this!
haha thanks so much mate!! :D
The nail in the track reminded me of a guy in our train club who would put nails down anywhere and everywhere just so that his stuff could run on the layout. That made me laugh so hard.
240 volts directly into the track, what can go wrong?
That 0-4-0 is now an 0-0-0.
haha!! ;D
I think this self isolation thing has finally got to you Sam 🤣🤣🤣
You could be right! xD
4:16 Sam: "Here's my method of subtly fixing the track to the baseboard"
Brings out a Sledge Hammer

Hi Sam just found this video. Well you have done it again a really funny video for April fools day. I think we need a bit of comedy during these trying times at the moment well done mate. Look after yourself and keep safe. Dave.
haha thanks so much mate - really glad this lightened the mood for you! :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
This video needs to get locked up in some volt very deep underground. It is too cursed for general audiences other than modelrailwaymen.
In all seriousness, your April fools videos are easily the best April fools related things I have seen!
haha cursed?! Really appreciate that mate, thanks so much! :D
Cheers,
Sam :)
17:30 This is how I feel whenever I have frustrating school work to do and same thing goes for homework. It gets me to the point where I'm just stressed out and tired.
haha! ;D
Looks like he is turning the TART class from a year or two ago into a flying scotsman. Great model that one, that being the tart class.
