Somebody has to tell the writers they’re shit 😂I swear I prefer real fans who tell more interesting stories than those who are paid to write a story that are no where near interesting
I AM one of the people who thinks the great ending for dexter would be him being recruited by the US. Government. Once its known how prolific he is and who he's taken down. Its hard for me to see how he wouldnt be viewed as having skills too valuable to be disposed of. Stealth, infiltration, detective skills, etc. Dude could carry out his passion, while still maintaining his code taking out threats for the feds.
I would find this the most satisfying path forward personally. It wouldn't be the same kind of show but that's ok. Let say he's about to go down but something serious comes up. So serious that his help is needed and it's time sensitive and with more lives at stake. They fake his death and he begins a new life kinda like 'suicide squad'. We can even see him in international situations, tracking down 'untouchable' people.
@@jdan35 But the code is almost completely gone, both in the last seasons of Dexter and in New Blood he is killing innocent people without much remorse.
Dexter fans are a unique bunch, and the showrunners need to recognize the strong desire for a satisfying conclusion to the character’s story. It's rare for a show grounded in reality to have a protagonist shot in the chest with a hunting rifle in the woods and for fans to not only accept his survival but actually prefer it as the ending. There’s a huge audience ready to watch if they get it right this time. Overall, fans have been remarkably forgiving.

Destroying Harrison image is unforgivable. Considering Harrison gave Dexter a reason to try to be human as possible. This will be the last chance imo for writers producers to get it right. @@jpogs6976 yes, I agree, although the way I hoped it ending was Batista finally getting him and everyone Dex used to work with looking him in the face, knowing what he is
Why are we so certain everyone would immediately assume Dexter is the BHB? Sure that's what Angela *suspects* but she doesn't have any solid evidence of that. There isn't even solid evidence that Dexter killed Kurt or killed Matt, all she has is a nail which proves nothing. The only thing Dexter is 100% on the hook for currently is the murder of Logan. I can see him getting put on trial for that, but it somehow getting dismissed via a technicality, or perhaps a sympathetic juror.
I think there would be scrutiny, but I also believe Dexter is good enough at manipulation that he could probably win Batista over. The only thing that Dexter would have a hard time explaining is if there was clear evidence showing that Doakes could not have been the BHB, which there was. Even Lundy knew he couldn't argue against finding the blood slides in Doakes' car, but Batista doesn't have to worry so much about the FBI breathing down his neck to close a case on a serious murderer so he can explore that angle as much as he wants. Or Quinn could. Dexter would likely argue that even if they could prove Doakes' innocence it doesn't prove Dexter is guilty, which is also true and would slow them down. Someone might decide to play an angle themselves and bypass proving Doakes' innocence and instead claim that Doakes and Dexter were in on it together and had a falling out, citing the time that Doakes attacked Dexter seemingly unprovoked as evidence they were no longer working together. They would also try to pin the cabin on Dexter, ironically out of all the different things they could try to pin on him that one being Lila's fault and not his. That angle would be easy to sell. Doakes being special forces and clearly able to fight and in good shape, Dexter being a solid forensic specialist and could easily cover their tracks, it wouldn't be hard to convince a jury or a judge that it was plausible.
I think this also. What if they went back to where it was just a dream why he's waiting inside the jail before he jumped the shark and killed coach. Start back there he gets off the show moves on
@@Reddirtben77 Another interesting approach they could take would be that the camera watching the jail cell could have inexplicably moved right before Logan went there, and Dexter could claim self-defense or that Kurt, the murderer they just discovered was a big serial killer, showed up to kill Dexter and Logan and Dexter managed to get away because Logan helped him. Could be a few angles to work with.
@@LunaticSoldiers I honestly think it will be something like this. The writers only have to figure out the Logan situation, everything else can come later. It would frankly be nice to have a Dexter/Batista confrontation where they are on "equal footing" rather than having Dexter be behind bars. Although I think it will most likely take place in the hospital while Dexter is recovering. But yeah, they could go with a number of angles for Logan, maybe it turns out he's not actually dead, maybe the surveillance footage is down, though in that case Dexter would still be on the hook for escaping jail. Frankly though I think coming up with these "absurd but plausible" scenarios is exactly what the writers are good at, like how ultimately it was believable that Miami Metro would think Doakes was actually the butcher
Dexter was able to avoid a lot of issues because no one bothered to put together all of the sus shit around him in the moment. It'd be obvious to anyone looking back at it all. His brother was a serial killer, his mother was killed seemingly by serial killers/murderers, his wife was killed by the most notorious a serial killer of all time, his sister was braindead because of a serial killer, and he even killed the same dude inside the police station. Dexter is lucky that Batista never had a moment on the shitter where he pieces it all together that maybe this dude is a little more sus than Doakes.
Isn’t it so weird how we’re all rooting for Dexter to be free even tho he’s killed so many people lol funny how they make you love these type of characters
I whole heartedly stand by if someone like Dexter existed In real life I’d root for them. Sure I might find it a TAD sick especially if he had some sort of gruesome ritual, but at the end of the day. He could do the must brutalizing and inhumane things to those types of people and I’d still want him to be a free person.
Honestly I just want them back in Miami… the dexter universe doesn’t feel the same without Miami, the city was just as much of a character as dexter himself (arguably)
I saw a comment under another video that the tenants who live in the Bay Harbor Club apartments in Miami (the real place), were told 3 months ago that there would be a 2 week log filming period there, they were told to either stay indoors during filming or make plans to relocate. Not sure if the filming is for flashbacks or current footage, but either way kind of cool
I'm good with scenarios that dexter is on the run and possibly ends up arrested and gets off on a technicality. I don't want dexter killed off again or sent to prison for life. Call me crazy, but I want a world where dexter gets away. 😊
Bro it’s people like you who hated a perfectly fine finale for Dexter new blood it was a great season. It was the only way that it should have ended. He deserved to die.
Doakes should come back as his "dark passenger" guide this time around. It's a new phase of Dexter's evolution so he should have a new sherpa...who always cusses him out when he's about to do something stupid lol.
Imagine if his lawyer got footage of that time he provoked Doakes to attack him in front of everyone at the station. The PI investigator that Quinn had hired to follow him around. Laguerta openly stating that she will pin the BHB on him. Perhaps something his dad did could be brought up, like his inappropriate behavior with PIs. Him having a "heart attack" and the truth being suicide begs the question of "Why the cover-up?" There is room for plot devices here. Then Deb starts getting all of the most dangerous assignments and is eventually shot. Alive, stable, but unsure about a full recovery. Then she just dies? We know how she died, but the characters don't. They will just know it was tampered with. If somehow all of that stuff came to light it could be framed as a type of conspiracy against the Morgan family. Not even a technicality at this point but rather a successful defense highlighting a grotesque manhunt conspired by people in power who clearly weren't afraid to do things below the table.
The ending I’ve always envisioned sees Dexter finally caught and hauled off to a high security prison, surrounded by monsters. He’s no longer free, but one thing remains, steady and constant- his hunger for blood. It lingers in silence, watchful, lurking in the shadows-his ever-faithful companion, always at his side, the dark passenger. In the final scene, the camera tracks Dexter down a dim, narrow prison corridor. He moves unnoticed, until he approaches an inmate-a ruthless criminal. Without hesitation, Dexter garrotes them with a thin wire, tightening it in one swift, fluid motion around the man’s neck. The inmate thrashes in vain, his gasps swallowed by dead shadows. Gently, Dexter lowers the lifeless body to the floor, eyes vacant. As the inmate slumps to the floor, the faint sound of trumpets begins to rise, echoing Miami’s vibrant energy. “Conoci La Paz” begins to play. Dexters voice narrates the shows final words: “In here or out there-it’s all the same. Monsters still roam free... and someone has to take out the trash.” Fades to black… ::credits::
Am I the only one who thought Harrison SUCKED? Also, Angela was such a lame character. They tried to make her a knock off Deborah and it just wasn’t working for me. And I know they lived in a small town with a population of a few hundred, but that woman found out who dexter was WAY too easily and she grew suspicious way too soon.
Angela couldn't find a serial killer for decades who lived right in her town but figured out that Dexter was a serial killer from Miami. The whole plot was ridiculous.
Not only was there a killer who was living in the small town and murdering young women. But one of the murdered girls was Angela's friend, and her priority would be to catch the person that killed her friend. But instead of trying to stop the guy killing young women, she goes after Dexter, the only person who can find and stop a coward that kills women for fun.
Dexter will be in jail and people will be cheering for him as a hero, asking for him to be put out of jail, his son will likely be hunting and the FBI will recruit Dexter in some Hannibal letter style
The ultimate teaser for Dexter Resurrection would be a cameo in “You” where Joe Goldberg’s luck runs out and he winds up on Dexter’s table…. They could then tie this kill into Dexter resurrection at some point after he goes on the run
Also another point- I believe the writers have mentioned this next season is not being written as a limited series. It’s being written to continue season after season like the og Dexter if the money is still there.
Harrison better not be the main character in Resurrection. I'd rather see him die tbh… I couldn't help but find him extremely annoying. And I NEED to see more of Masuka, Angel, Deborah AND Rita. Wouldn't it be so cool if Rita was another voice in Dexter’s mind alongside Deb!? Omg that would be amazing! I feel like Resurrection needs to be as exhilarating and anxiety-provoking as Season 2 of Dexter, for it to be good enough for the fans
The lawyer/courtroom aspect with with past characters coming back and the divided opinion, combined with Dexter's candor and demeanor and Michael C Halls wittyness... This could be so good!!! Imagine Dexter meets Better Call Saul? Oh man! And no matter how tense the buildup is, no matter how well the defense is, the jury reads back guilty and sentences him to L.I.. and the final scene is him, reflecting that he's now on the table.. the people in the watch room.. oh yeah.. You said you'd read it! Subscribed!
The evidence that he’s the bay harbor butcher is mostly circumstantial and he could always say that Kurt Caldwell came into the station and killed the cop Logan while trying to kill Dexter. Dexter says he escaped and Kurt caught up with him and shot him. Since Angela hid Harrison’s involvement in the shooting she is forced to watch it all unfold. Angela and Batista team up to try and catch Dexter in future murders. Plot twist Harrison lied and Hannah never died. Dexter, Hannah, and Harrison team up.
There are only 2 people who know he's the BHB at this point, with 1 arriving late to the party and 1 trying to save his son. Everything is going to get turned on to Harrison. Wild party, drugs, hurting people publicly, blood on his shoe from killing Mr. Krabs. Blood will match both Dexter and son at the campsite. Murder on the day his son arrived. I'm so excited and can't wait!
I think Quin will be a major player since he 100% knew for a long time that Dexter was the BHB but didn't come forward with this information because Dex got rid of the blood sample on his shoe showing his gratitude for letting him out of the hook, his relationship with Debra, and fear of what Dex might do to him
The way New Blood ended with Dexter's real name discovered and former colleague getting involved, him murdering a cop and escaping from jail and getting shot..the new season would have to center around courtroom and prison as well as hospital..
An unlikely scenario, but it is possible he could both walk away a free man and keep his secret (at least to the wider public, but not to Miami Metro and Iron Lake PD). All he has to do is manipulate others into thinking Angela and Logan conspired to set him up and that he killed Logan in self-defense, that he's a victim of police brutality. There are some anomalies that would look strange to a third party: the firearm discharge from Logan's gun in Dexter's cell, Angela's report likely not matching what the evidence suggest (since she is covering for Harrison, but can't admit to it without incriminating herself for complicity to attempted murder). It's possible Angela's higher-ups could decide to simply drop and bury the case to avoid a public scandal, leaving Angela powerless to do anything and Angel+Quinn having to now work from scratch if they wanna prove Dexter is the BHB (assuming Quinn would even go along with it since he's always turned a blind eye despite knowing Dexter is dirty).
Dexter won’t be dead, Michael c. Hall said in an interview when asked would he be alive in resurrection that “it’s very cold out there” pretty much meaning his blood pressure was slowed by the cold and he didn’t bleed out. Harrison can’t be the main character, your other theories are far more satisfying
Why are we so sure that Quinn will be against Dexter? I actually think it would make much more sense if after he recovers from the gunshot, Quinn somehow facilitates his escape from custody. Dexter killed Deb's murderer and Quinns response is "I wish I had done it myself". Not to mention Quinn kills that mobster to protect Nadia to let her go free and stages a fake crime scene. Quinn is just dirty enough and traumatized by Debs death enough, to think he owes her one last favor by helping her brother escapem especially when Quinn of all the cops seems to understand that working outside the law is okay for the right reasons. Either that or Dexter makes some kind of daring escape on his own. Or has help from Lumen or Trinitys son or some random person he inadvertently saved by one of his kills, or someone that takes him from custody to exact their own revenge. Hopefully its something this good. Not sure how theyd build several seasons around this though.
When i see Angela i cant help but think she looks like the native american version of Deb lol She has such a strong resemblance to her in certain scenes. 3:38 in this clip is a good example imo
I said it at the end of new blood, a series about dexter being in prison and the crazy people he’d be surrounded by would be so sick. Plenty of dexter inner monologue and a plethora of dark characters and adversaries for dex to either kill or thwart in some other cool way
Google says the Show maker were Inspirad by a brasilien serial killer. This Man killed 70 people plus 47 people while his jail time. Would be so cool if it takes this turn, but i dont think so😢
Although you say that the last scenario of him being recruited by the FBI is the worst one, it is actually the best one because it's the only one where he could continue to be "Dexter" without it seeming like a massive ass pull. Him somehow faking death and escaping would seem ridiculous at this point since he was put down in dramatic fashion right in front of Angela, who has no reason to allow him to get stitched up and escape. It was made quite clear that she wants him either locked up or dead. Also, him faking death and escaping would just be a rehash of the bad ending of the first version of the show. The idea of him going to trial and somehow getting off on a technicality for like dozens (if not hundreds) of murders would also seem totally nuts. If he is jailed and put on trial, he's not getting off on a technicality. There's no realistic universe in which he escapes a guilty verdict. So what we would have is at best a clip show of us recapping his prior exploits, or some kind of family drama show with his stepkids and Harrison dealing with him being in jail. That just wouldn't be a Dexter show. The only way it's a Dexter show is if he keeps feeding the dark passenger, which means he has to be out in the world with some amount of freedom. This could be accomplished with any kind of "Blacklist" type scenario, the most obvious being recruited by either the FBI or CIA to do some kind of dirty work and committing more of his dark passenger murders on the side. If his handlers are tasked with keeping him from doing that, then part of it would be him trying to evade their detection which puts a different spin on the formula from the first show.
The idea of him helping the FBI is not as bad and crazy as you made it be.... I don't think he will get a badge or anything... But, it could be similar to a Hannibal; Lector in Silence of the Lambs type of thing... Whether in jail or not...
I feel like Dexter: Resurrection should be about... 1. his recovery 2. his official arrest 3. reunion with Astor and Cody and finally telling the truth to the people who matter 4. getting an extremely talented lawyer to represent him.... and it just so happens to be Lumen. 😂 5. Trial broadcasted nation wide and on Social Media 6. Encouraging Harrison to get the professional help that he really needs. I would love that soooo much. At the end of the day, "Beyond a reasonable doubt..." is the only technicality they need. Besides, Dokes was already believed to be The Bay Harbor Butcher. 🤷🏾♀️
That last scenario is interesting. And they plant him in small towns to find criminals, but he starts killing and then there's conflict within the fbi and Dex
Both options are wrong. Remember this is called Dexter Resurrection . Everyone thinks he is dead. And that would be the premise . Everything you said is just recycled stuff. Dexter needs a fresh start
I never like reboots or remakes or whatever, but in this case, I want them to get this right! Dexter is such an incredible character. I hate to have him end how they have tried twice now! Like... third time is a charm? 😂😂😂
Dexter has survived! But due to his comatose state his trial has been delayed. In the meanwhile this public knowledge becomes a public display of morals. Human laws vs Natures laws i.e. what Dr. Vogel said about how mankind needs them. People for and against would be a part of the trial. Bringing back many from the first series. Harrison is also dealing with the remorse of what he did and discovering his father was right in his own way as he struggles with his own dark passenger. Suddenly Dexter awakens and uses his ace knowing this day would come to get an acquittal. This is roughly how i would write it if ever given the opportunity. 🙏
Quinn would not join in the manhunt for Dexter, and if he did, it would be to lead up to a scene where Quinn has him dead to rights and chooses to let him go. Quinn knew Dexter was a serial killer already but always chose not to go the route of incriminating him, because Quinn himself had gray morals never black and white. Quinn himself killed when he felt like it was the right thing to do, so he didnt hold it against Dexter.
IDK about the first season but a season where an adult Harrison becomes a kind of bay harbor butcher , and Dexter is forced to confront his past self by trying to stop his son before he gets in over his head, would be nice
to be honest i don't think Quinn would be as relentless as you say in session 5 there relationship is tense but as the sessions progress they help each other out. In the last session Quinn was quick to rule Oliver's death self defense. Even in some of there smaller interactions he hints at knowing he has his secrets not saying he Knows knows but i feel Quinn being a dirty cop he would be able to sympathies with dexter.
Id actually love to see Dexter on the run, no more blending in and then eventually getting caught. Seeing him in prison on death row surrounded by people he'd love to kill would be interesting, realising prison is a big candy shop for him. Keeping his kills concealed from the guards, having other inmates know there is something taking people out and fearing him would be cool to watch.
Not sure on this. Look at Kurt Caldwell's behaviour throughout New Blood. There's ample evidence to suggest he killed Matt, since he tried to get the investigation cancelled, then lied about him being in New York, and also lied about him staying in his secret room. Then when Dexter took Angela there, the room was destroyed. Kurt tried to kill Dexter by burning his house down. Angela then knows Kurt killed Iris and all the female runaways. Plus Kurt ransacked his safe and "disappeared". These little details may have been hinting at something. Perhaps Angela will blame it all on Kurt.
But this only talks about Kurt's killings. What about Angel Batista being hinted at Dexter possibly being the Bay Harbor Butcher? Angela can't defend Dexter from that, it goes beyond what happened at Iron Lake. So, even if she blames Kurt for everything that happened there, Dexter’s past is a whole different story
I would love to see Lumen return as she helps him evade capture. But most likely he remains on the run while Angela and Bautista and possibly Quinn build their case. Harrison struggles with his version of his urges and picks up where Dexter left off.
they already confirmed they have a way to bring dexter back from the dead. it's honestly probably the usual trope, he was fantasizing about killing Logan but never did and he stands trial etc.
I really like the idea actually of dexter being in court with the cases being reviewed on flashbacks and having a lawyer on dexters side with seeing him like as the therapist understood him.
I think a cool show would be for him to just get to a different continent and start over when nobody would know him. Maybe he goes to Russia or Australia and changes his look in his profession and all that stuff it could be an awesome series.
Ok but Dexter being forced to work with the FBI is perfect Imagine Not only is he an informant for them but… what if he is still moonlighting? Like he did for Miami Metro? Again, poetic justice to him slipping through the cracks
Honestly, I will continue watching new Dexter until they stop making it, even if MCH is 90 by then. As long as Dexter remains the main character and the character presentation is consistent and true to his character as they created it, I’m in. Unfortunately, that last thing was a problem with New Blood. I still can’t really get over Dexter killing Logan and the inconsistencies of Harrison’s character. This can’t really be fixed, but if they continue, it might just be a bump in the road like seasons 7 and 8. These are all lots of good ideas. They could have lots of different seasons that are all different in setting and tone: an on the run season, a courtroom trial season, an FBI-consultant season … I don’t care as long ass it’s well written. What I’m not interested in is spinoffs with other characters.
I quite liked the idea of Dexter working for the FBI or some secret government department. He could be the new serial killer hunter or teacher at the FBI, or work for the CIA as an assassin. Of course, the only problem with this development is that it gives a completely different flavour to Dexter, nothing like what it started out with. So, this idea is not the best for Dexter, but I think it would be great for Harrison in a side series.
I honestly think the CIA using Dexter as an assassin is the only way to turn this into an ongoing series and not an annoying cat and mouse saga with no end
The whole getting off technicality I can see happening. It has to be a huge trial tho. The trial of the century type thing and it means bringing all the old cast back. Literally everyone back and you can the trail a whole season. With lots and lots of flashbacks even. Sorted.
As much as I conceptually love New Bloods ending, I agree that they have a golden opportunity with this final revival, if they play their cards right, we can have some of the best television in years, the possibilities are endless.
I:m super into your first proposal, other than Harrison being there. That story was kinda cute or whatever but I don't want them to waste more screen time on their arguments / shitty communication skills. Let Harrison pull a Lumen and simply disappear from the narrative to have his happy ending. As incredible as a manhunt led by Miami Metro sounds, I think it would be too good to be true. The last 2 seasons showed that they have NO CLUE what the fans want out of an ending to this story, so why should I trust that they would take the time to figure it out now? All that said...I really hope to God they have looked into what the fans want this time. If we have an ending with the whole world knowing Dexter is the BHB and the final shot is him on Death Row, I'd finally feel like the missteps were all worth it.
Whatever happens, I want to see Dexter unleashed. He is found out, everyone knows, and he no longer has to pretend to be normal. What would a Dexter look like who is no longer burdened by trying to keep his mask on? A Dexter who is resolved and content with being alone and moving in the shadows. How would he operate without the resources of a police department? Would he stick to his code or just go rouge?
Dexter always used to have visions of what was going on in his head, Harrison maybe shot the gun but missed altogether and dexter simply imagined how he wanted it to end.
I'm betting on some form of quick confrontation with Angela, after which she will die (perhaps in a way not intended by Dexter, during a struggle, for example) and then Dexter will remove all evidence about being a butcher from the station. After all, only Angela and Logan knew at the station. I put something in this pattern. We will See.
I feel like Dexter might not be charged as the BHB due to the case not being strong enough for the jury to convict him, cause in New Blood he didnt dispose the bodies to the river like before (yes different scenery) but it might make it enough to not pin him for it and also the fact that he used ketamine in New Blood and not M99. I feel like Batista is genuinely gonna be the most important part of Resurrection cause the man's gonna have the biggest dilemma of his life and i feel like they might make him do the aforementioned approach, not entirely to save Dexter, but to make sure he is guilty of all those murders
Whatever the plot is, I really really hope they can bring one antagonist that will blow up the series : Jonah Mitchell. Trinity son is beyond fcuk up. He even killed his own mother. Oh if there's a FBI guy, let make him/her a former protege of Frank Lundy.
No one wants Harrison to be the central character

I’m present for any dexter content or television creation
Yes
@@BingeCultactually it is, Michael c hall specified so at the Comic-Con for dexter original sin. It’s so awesome that we’re getting all of this Dexter content
So what? More woke crap
Making Harrison the central character would be a massive mistake. We just need Angel and Quinn chasing after Dexter.
I would rather have Dexter being a Hannibal lecter helping Miami Metro find killers using how he used to do it in the original show but now he can't get the release he's used to
When the fans write a better show and ending than the official writers 😂
🤣😭
Somebody has to tell the writers they’re shit 😂I swear I prefer real fans who tell more interesting stories than those who are paid to write a story that are no where near interesting
What is the better ending than what we got? Please tell me how else dexters story should end.
I would love to see a group of fans write a season, bet it would suck
you gotta understand that michael c hall also writes for the show now
I’ve never been a fan of the whole “it was all a dream” trope but if any time for it was appropriate….this would be it.
Hopefully he never killed Logan.
They’d want him to take out people that don’t meet his code. They need pragmatic people, not people that live by a strict code.
So Dexter's Blacklist?
In the real world he would in fact become a CIA operative. Id bet good damn money on that.
I mean, it costs us nothing as fans to watch, right? 10 hours of a screentime? What else to do, doomscroll tiktok?
I agree. We have been extremely forgiving. Twice now. The show is just too good to give up on it.
@@ZheikoNileth Speak for yourself, if your using tiktok that explains a lot that's all we need to know about you. For the rest of us that have been here for 2 endings that were shite. I actually took back all of the bad things I said about season 8 finale. Rather have Dexter sitting staring back. Then a Dexter murdered by a son he so beloved. Bc the writer were fcking morons. Destroying Harrison image is unforgivable. Considering Harrison gave Dexter a reason to try to be human as possible. This will be the last chance imo for writers producers to get it right. I think the real reason we are getting Dexter Resurrection is bc all of Dexter watchers hated New Blood ending & refused to watch a spin off of Harrison. It's all about the money, since Hollyweird has stop the cash flow on untested products. The only way to keep a job is have a property that was a winner.
@@upallnite3164 Lol, I think you need to get out a little more. Assuming that I am using TikTok, while then getting all mental about how annoyed you are with ending of Dexter? Its just a TV show man, get a grip:)
Stupid thread.
Harrison killing Dexter didn't make sense to me fully. Hated the ending
Same. It was pointless..
@@markflakez Unless, the POINT..... is this, we just dontk now how yet... Lol.
Ridiculous ending 😒
Thank goodness they are fixing it
I know why people hate it, but in my opinion it isn’t as bad as some people say it is. To me the show itself definitely helped to satisfy the terrible original ending.
He took out the trash, and def needs to remain free.
Hey, Harry recognized what his son was going to become, and molded him to use his kill urges on bad people. Nothing wrong with that.😂
Honestly I just want them back in Miami… the dexter universe doesn’t feel the same without Miami, the city was just as much of a character as dexter himself (arguably)
@@BingeCultdamn they have to stay inside there own home and can’t leave while filming.
@@BingeCult I know you probably know this by now but: Dexter: Original Sin.
@@emilyfrench481Happens. I had to wait outside my apt building in NYC with sea-turtle head so they could film a movie-that sucked!
Agree.. Miami was great
I'm good with scenarios that dexter is on the run and possibly ends up arrested and gets off on a technicality. I don't want dexter killed off again or sent to prison for life. Call me crazy, but I want a world where dexter gets away. 😊
SAME!!
Bro it’s people like you who hated a perfectly fine finale for Dexter new blood it was a great season. It was the only way that it should have ended. He deserved to die.
Same
AGREE
That’s what we all want. We want to see the net close to being closed but somehow against odds he stays one step ahead.
Doakes should come back as his "dark passenger" guide this time around. It's a new phase of Dexter's evolution so he should have a new sherpa...who always cusses him out when he's about to do something stupid lol.
I'd love to see Doakes back no doubt..... I just can't see HOW??
Idk but your thought isn't the worst idea.... 🤔
That would be dope but hard to do
@@TrevorStuart-v7c I mean the ice truck killer came back as his passenger way after he was dead.
@@MM.MischiefManaged True, good point.... but how many passengers can one have?? Idk, but to get Doakes back, I wouldn't complain. Lol
I’m glad fans aren’t writers because this is dumb asf.
I hope he getss off on a technicality. ❤
Could be an interesting way of taking the shower, everyone knows what Dexter did but hes walking around a free man
Imagine if his lawyer got footage of that time he provoked Doakes to attack him in front of everyone at the station.
@@LunaticSoldiersthat would be cool
Monsters still roam free... and someone has to take out the trash.”
Fades to black…

Wow... great thoughts on potential plots!! I can't wait for the series!!
Yeah... I think his character had great potential, but something wasn't quite right there...
I really hope it's back in miami, dexter lives and is like season 1-2-4 in quality
that’d be great but i wouldn’t mind if it’s even only s5 and s7, i think they’re both great seasons just not as good as 1-4
I reckon Quinn knew Dexter was a serial killer but he stepped down after realising that it was going to cost him his life
That is what I thought, but everyone says he did it for deb not for dexter
@@Superbig-pk9qd I think it was a bit of both. He definitely figured it out at least after Liddy’s death.
Yeah he definitely knew
honestly dexter new blood did not live up to my expectations, Dexter i knew from childhood was something else
Also another point- I believe the writers have mentioned this next season is not being written as a limited series. It’s being written to continue season after season like the og Dexter if the money is still there.
I’m all for it if they stop fucking with the fans
Harrison better not be the main character in Resurrection. I'd rather see him die tbh… I couldn't help but find him extremely annoying.
And I NEED to see more of Masuka, Angel, Deborah AND Rita. Wouldn't it be so cool if Rita was another voice in Dexter’s mind alongside Deb!? Omg that would be amazing!
I feel like Resurrection needs to be as exhilarating and anxiety-provoking as Season 2 of Dexter, for it to be good enough for the fans
But Rita didn’t know he was a killer, i really find it hard to believe she would be like harry, brian and debra
Can’t wait for young Dexter, he’ll just be a fetus, or Dexter Resurgence where he’ll be in the future in a cyborg body
Just like Rita's mom said about their wedding:
"Let's hope the third one's the charm!"
Dexter goes to jail and ends up sharing a cell with one Jimmy McGill.
NO Harrison. MORE seasons.
The original series should never have ended.
Crazy how Harrison is such an unlikable character, I’m glad they’re bringing Dexter back he still has unfinished business
GREAT points!
Who wants Dexter to continue to operate in the shadows and remain undiscovered
I think Quin will be a major player since he 100% knew for a long time that Dexter was the BHB but didn't come forward with this information because Dex got rid of the blood sample on his shoe showing his gratitude for letting him out of the hook, his relationship with Debra, and fear of what Dex might do to him
The way New Blood ended with Dexter's real name discovered and former colleague getting involved, him murdering a cop and escaping from jail and getting shot..the new season would have to center around courtroom and prison as well as hospital..
great video!
You make a good point about Quinn being just crooked enough that he could be an unforeseen ally in the whole thing. I dig it.
When i see Angela i cant help but think she looks like the native american version of Deb lol She has such a strong resemblance to her in certain scenes. 3:38 in this clip is a good example imo
That Harrison idea sound awful, hope they don’t go that way
I said it at the end of new blood, a series about dexter being in prison and the crazy people he’d be surrounded by would be so sick.
Maybe just a Laminate instead of a badge ! Lol
It really needs a reboot. It's getting out of hand. One thing is for sure i will watch it no matter what 😂
*I WANT MORE THAN ANYTHING 4 THIS SERIES TO GO-ON 4EVER!!
I ❤ DEXTER!!
Harrison, being the central character, would be a disaster!
I feel like Dexter: Resurrection should be about...
1. his recovery
2. his official arrest
3. reunion with Astor and Cody and finally telling the truth to the people who matter
4. getting an extremely talented lawyer to represent him.... and it just so happens to be Lumen. 😂
5. Trial broadcasted nation wide and on Social Media
I think a nation wide manhunt for Dexter could be interesting like Prison Break season 2
Both options are wrong. Remember this is called Dexter Resurrection . Everyone thinks he is dead. And that would be the premise . Everything you said is just recycled stuff. Dexter needs a fresh start
What happened to the body? The local police in NY wouldn’t believe he’s dead.
I need Dexter alive!!
Dexter wakes up from a dream, and sitting behind that desk when he was a lumberjack.
I definitely want to see more Dexter!
A dexter season set in prison where he hunts other inmates could be cool
What if he’s sent to Chicago and his inmate is T-bag from prison break.
@@emilyfrench481hold on hold on
Let him COOOOK
IDK about the first season but a season where an adult Harrison becomes a kind of bay harbor butcher , and Dexter is forced to confront his past self by trying to stop his son before he gets in over his head, would be nice
I would like dexter to be on the run and people he helped through the years help him on the run or spread the news of him being good “misunderstood “
to be honest i don't think Quinn would be as relentless as you say in session 5 there relationship is tense but as the sessions progress they help each other out. In the last session Quinn was quick to rule Oliver's death self defense. Even in some of there smaller interactions he hints at knowing he has his secrets not saying he Knows knows but i feel Quinn being a dirty cop he would be able to sympathies with dexter.
What? I’m loving it so far!!!!
Dexter has top notch plot armor. Top notch!
Now that you mention it (last idea suggestion) a sort of DARK 'White Collar' show would be amazing to watch. Dexter as an FBI agent.
>3:33 I said I Dig This Vid. Thank you ❤ Dexter FOREVER!
Just make the whole final season a dream and start over.
Nobody wants to see Harrison again. Dexter has always been better off on his own.
I think a cool show would be for him to just get to a different continent and start over when nobody would know him. Maybe he goes to Russia or Australia and changes his look in his profession and all that stuff it could be an awesome series.
Dexter gets locked up for life but shortly after a serial killer emerges and they come to him for help tracking the killer.
Ok but Dexter being forced to work with the FBI is perfect
Imagine
Not only is he an informant for them but… what if he is still moonlighting? Like he did for Miami Metro? Again, poetic justice to him slipping through the cracks
He will be player Dexter until he’s 90 💀
Good video 👍
honestly, if Dexter survived, i can see Harrison being the main focus for the first few episodes before it’s revealed Dexter is still alive
Sorted.
I can’t wait
As much as I conceptually love New Bloods ending, I agree that they have a golden opportunity with this final revival, if they play their cards right, we can have some of the best television in years, the possibilities are endless.
Harrison was supposed to look like Rita :(
He does and he looks like his dad too.
He looks like rita tbh
I hope this show doesn't end with Dexter self deleting himself.
They should bring back Captain matthews or at least show his reaction
Dexter coming back is the only thing i look forward to in life anymore
Dexter always used to have visions of what was going on in his head, Harrison maybe shot the gun but missed altogether and dexter simply imagined how he wanted it to end.
Dexter helping solve homicides sounds like a good end game. It also would become a CSI type show...
I like the legal technicality.. there's so much you could do with that
I feel like Dexter might not be charged as the BHB due to the case not being strong enough for the jury to convict him, cause in New Blood he didnt dispose the bodies to the river like before (yes different scenery) but it might make it enough to not pin him for it and also the fact that he used ketamine in New Blood and not M99.
