Last week we made some fun DIYs for the powder room (aka half bathroom) and today we actually are working on the makeover to make it all come together. I am trying a style that is kind of different for me, and that’s because there’s a lot of color and patterns going on in here. And it can either go really right or really wrong...PLUS, we're trying some DIY renter hacks like PAINTING peel-and-stick backsplash tiles, adding a "sink skirt" with cafe curtains, and also creating a HUGE mural.

I think since you have the mural you can take those green pictures down and put them on the opposite wall on the other side of the mirror. It takes away from the mural. You could have also put them on the shelves above the toilet. But once again, you did such an amazing job.

Love the mural! I would continue it on the wall behind the toilet. I also love the painted tile backsplash. I'm not so keen on the curtains in front of the cabinet and I also think some of the other elements make it too hodge-podge. I'd get towels to match the colors of the mural, for instance. I think the light blue is out of place.

Yeah or maybe she needs to add more blue over by the toilet or something. It’s all clustered around the sink.
Agree the mirror and towels do not go with the vibe. Personally prefer the black mirror and towels to complement the mural would work better. Do not like the curtain vanity front.
I love what you did in part 1 and I love what you did in part 2 (except the curtains). I don't love everything together. If it sparks joy for you though that is what matters most.
I like the idea of leaving the other walls plain with all you have going on. However I think maybe just choosing a color from the mural, like the peach, would help it all to blend in. Just a solid color, no stripes.

What a beautiful jewel box space! I think your mural would be fun wrapped around the space behind the toilet and even the door wall. You could hang some more of your gorgeous lanterns, sort of giving the effect of these lovely hot air balloons or ceremonial lanterns floating through the sky of your mural-scape. Either way, you have done a fantastic transformation in this space!
That's such a great idea! I think, too, the mural just wrap around the back wall. And for the lanterns to be part of the mural. Niiiice!!

Love the mural, but I would have left the mirror as it was originally and I don't think the two picture work on the wall, the mural is enough in itself. I would also have left the doors on the unit for a cleaner look. I like the wall lights and the ceiling hangings really wotk with the mural.
It wouldn't be for me, but I do LOVE IT! I think the maximalism of it all is balanced by a kind of color palate. Really artful. If I found this bathroom in an Air B&B or something, I'd be thrilled!
I actually love the pops of blue! I personally would move the green paintings to the opposite wall or to the right of the toilet, and maybe switch back to the cabinet doors. Overall what a fun space!

So happy to see COLOR! I have never understood the all whites, creams and beiges. I would go insane with no color anywhere. If you get tired of it you can always change it. Especially paint! The mural is so amazing! 😍 The hard work with it really paid off! I agree with some others that painting the other walls with a colour from the mural would look nice and the green frames on another wall to bring interest to them, rather than hiding some of the mural. I’m in agreement with some of the other comments. The green frames could go on the opposite wall, and although I LOVE the mirror, the blue throws me off. I love the playful way about it! Great job! So creative! ❤
Absolutely an amazing transformation!!! That mural is beautiful, you are so talented, and brave. The only change I would make is the position of your little framed artwork. I'd put them on the blank wall by the toilet, where they would be the 'star' . Love,love your little lanterns above the toilet.

I love the mural! I use these terra cotta colors in my home. The mirror reminds me of a Scandinavian style, so it is a bit of a stretch for me. But, I need to be more open minded!! What I do know is you are such a talented interior designer/DIY expert!!
