In the toilet you could paint the same apple tree theme - only in autumn. Which coincidentally would require using orange colours :D

I painted murals for years and I will say this is one of the most beautiful murals I’ve seen. It’s a lot of work for those who aren’t really aware but it’s worth it when it’s a labor of love.That technique you used is perfect for the chateau and it’s history. You two are an amazing duo!!! There are gold paints that you could enhance the “apples” in the bathroom to tie in the gorgeous sconces . It would be such a WOW factor! When I think 1600’s Normandy, I think gold EVERYWHERE!

After watching many, many of your episodes, I think the green works so well because you’ve chosen tones that harmonize with the history of the chateau and simultaneously work for modern tastes. My opinion for the toilet part of the powder room: what about using the green as an accent and the gentle yellows/creams of the mural apples as the main colour?
Agree with the pale yellow and cream colors, maybe stripes?? with a green detail of sorts, and Phillip would be so happy also.

Wow, the guest bathroom is wonderful! The green is perfect and the mural, well the mural is dreamy! I think the green should continue into the toilet room but in a lighter shade since there's no window. Maybe just a leafy border to continue the botanic theme? Or some lovely botanic prints?
I also think the hedge is going to be great too! Can't wait to see what's ahead.

I 85% agree with you in bringing in the green from the powder room! I think it should be a lot darker though, to bring in a moody windowless background. I've seen people leaning in more darker/warm night tones and I find those absolutely stunning. Maybe a nightly forest scenery?

I say go with the mural in the toilet room. When guests are sitting in there they will have time to truly appreciate the artistry! I've learned from past bathroom renovations that I need to do my best paint edgework there or I'm mildly irritated by shoddy workmanship every time.

Atlasttt a proper renovation channel! Loved how you added a touch of your own, all while keeping the class of the chateau, when all others just added some random "convenient" touches that kind of lost the grandeurr theme.
My dad is a landscape architect and one time used dead leaves in a friend's yard to design the layout of their flower beds for them. They kept the design and it turned out great.

They will NEVER be able to remake these historic buildings and homes like they used to. Our home was built in 1867 and I can tell you, it would cost a fortune to replace, but it wouldn't be the same. Old stone and brick homes have so much thermal mass and wall thickness.
If the walls could talk about all the events they've seen and heard, it would be astonishing. Well done.
How lovely that the girls will now have an indoor swimming pool! Loved the Dance of the Autumn Leaf Flurries, that was certainly some impressive cinematography! I feel certain it will win in the short film category, or, is there a lawn care category? It's a shame Chantal had to come all the way over, when Phillip could have done an excellent job on his own, as he is eminently skilled in so many areas. Congrats on your subscribers, of course with such a powerful influencer on board you could hardly miss! The bathroom mural was sensational, and I would vote for something brighter and bolder in the throne room itself, just to set it off from the rest. Stunning moody dramatic bathroom. I would go lighter and more romantic and more subtil in the toilet room by choosing apple blossom (creamy with pink / purple) on a light background. You can then keep a lot of the white, i.e. no need for a lot of new base paint.

The bathroom looks wonderful! If you continue the green from the rest of the bathroom and mural into the toilet area, it will be a tailored look and somewhat expected by guests. If you change the color into something like a deep jeweled aquamarine, still in the green family with a 'surprise' of blue underlying, you would have to use hints of that accent color in the other section of the bathroom as well to tie both areas together. Perhaps in the accents - soap dishes, tissue-box holders etc (with a touch of gold or silver perhaps). But the bathroom with mural continuing throughout would keep it more tailored I believe and in line with that certain elegance expected in a chateau.
Continue the green into the toilet room, do the same mural on the toilet wall with the fade into the other walls. You want the impact of the beautiful mural when the door is opened. Gorgeous work, Anna.

All mirror on the upper walls of the white sad toilet. And gold design on the edges. A mural of something green on the ceiling. Like sistine but a bit modern. Absolutely phenomenal powder room! For the toilet room I would play with the seasons a little. The first room has a nice spring/summer feeling. Wouldn't it be nice if the next room was more autumn and had a beautiful orange and red leaves motif?

I loved to see how landscaping on a bigger scale works. Chantal seems to be a wise experienced professional. Shame that the bathroom is not finished, the finished parts look lovely (especially the mirror). The toilet room could be green (for continuity) but with added accents/details in different colour. The bright oranges on branches would be great actually!
Not sure why it’s a shame. I don’t think they need any pressure from us! I ll bet that isn’t your intent though. If anyone is aware of the things undone, I imagine it is Anna and Philip!
Maybe that would be fun if the oranges were in a muted shade in a way that Anna chose to disguise them. Maybe if the light was appearing to come through the dark foreground? what do you think? Don’t tell Phillip so it could be a surprise. Anna is so creative, I know it will be perfect, as I’m sure you do too. 😊

I haven’t seen any comments in response to Phillip’s leaf blowing techniques. lol
It might have been wiser to blow the leaves toward the trees for their mulching and clear the lawn for the painting of the outline.
As far as the go pro on the end of the leaf blower, I would say fasten it further up so you see the overall view as well as close up and don’t get dizzy being swept from side to side so fast. Of course making those sweeps a little slower so you get all the leaves and have less side to side dizziness would be good.
Nice art work on the bathroom walls Anna! I recommend, as someone else said, a continuation of the mural with a fall theme for that small room. It would warm it up very nicely.

I am legally blind so I'm not sure my color suggestions should be taken all that seriously 😂 but it makes sense to me that if you used one of the lighter colors from the mural on the walls where the toilet is and then brought in the darker green in little sections on the walls for darker leaves, it would tie both rooms together without them being exactly the same. Too clever and talented! I am intrigued by the idea below to add a bit of gold leaf to the mural, but I think it's also lovely just the way it is. For the WC, I would continue the green but add more panelling the full height of the walls ... perhaps a wider chair rail/ledge on which to prop a few botanical prints. Anna, you have great attention to detail while showing remarkable restraint, which makes for a simple elegance in room design. Philipp, you are one funny man and an excellent filmmaker!
