I love it! Very easy with a perfect fit! The thing I think about with this pattern is that it's a different look from the everyday toque, and a little bit "dressy" to say the least. A sparkle yarn for the holidays would be cute.

Can I use strait needles
Yes, you can! But keep in mind that the Garter stitch, the Granite stitch, and the Stockinette stitch for the decreasing section change when knitted flat. This is the Granite stitch made back and forth: th-cam.com/video/m3C22zpKmYk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=N_u263-nDjA1cNn2

There's no way I can knit on the round😮💨 I'm so frustrated with myself! I knit a lot of baby/children hats, and I always end up having to either crochet or sew the seam in the back...😢 I'm preparing a charity bazaar for next month, and I need hats for boys between 3-6 years... I started with 60cm circular needles and they ended up like a railway track - I just couldn't move further!!!

Your voice is very soothing and encouraging, and I'm going to have to practice till I can master the circular needles. I don't have much time so I'm going to have to work on it. From what I understand I can work with long needles.... What length do you suggest I practice with?
